Whole milk available in parks?

Is whole milk available in the parks at counter service and sit down restuarants? We plan to buy some for our room for the morning, but I'd like to be able to buy some while we're in the parks. Thanks!

Most of the restaurants are going to have whole and lowfat but not all. IIRC a few of the CS restaurants only had the lowfat with the new switch to the "healither kids menus". If you have whole at the resort and have to give a child 1 or 2% on occasion during the trip that shouldn't be a problem anyway.

I know Cosmic Ray's had both but others only had the 1%.

I seem to remember most of the counter service restaurants not having whole milk. How old is your child? DS had milk 3 times per day, so we just gave him the lowfat for one of those three times when we were out and about (the other two are first thing in the morning and last at night, so we had whole milk in our room). I figured that a few servings of low fat milk isn't going to hurt him. The other option is to bring a small soft-sided cooler with the whole milk.

You can also get the whole milk in the shelf stable boxes - we use parmelat. It dosen't have to be refridgerated so you can bring some with you and then ask for a cup of ice. My dd's like it and often bring it to school with lunch.

Huh. When we were there in January, I had to specifically request lowfat for my 5 year old. The CS locations seemed to give us whole milk by default. And most of the TS places had whole milk.

DD is 18 months, so she's still supposed to drink whole milk (vs low fat milk). She actually just started drinking 4-8 ounces per day consistently the past two weeks, so we want to keep up with offering it to her while on vacation. She has feeding issues and is underweight, so we try to make every sip of milk (we mix with Carnation instant breakfast powder to calorie boost) and bite of food count...but we'll substitute low fat if needed, and I think we might try Parmelat, too. Thanks for your suggestions!

Another idea since she is that young and you are looking to boost calories is the pediasure or even a toddler formula. You can get the toddler formula in powder and then mix with water as needed or the pediasure can be kept room temp until you need it. Just ask for a cup of ice and your all set. Of course in your situation I would run it by your nutritionist first.

Even in your case if you have to give her a couple servings of 1% with the CIB I don't think it will set you back much. You can always offer a mickey bar once in a while for a fun calorie boost
