I did it! I did it!!!!

I took a couple of photos with my new digital camera and loaded them on the computer!!! Hope they're still there when I go back to put them up on eBay!

I've never seen anything so clear, sharp, and vibrant in my entire life!!

Do they really look that crystal clear and brilliant when you print them out? If so, I can see where I'm going to be using lots and lots of photo paper in the future!!!!!!!!!!

This camera also has a 3X optical zoom.. Is that good? And if so, what's it for? LOL

This is SOOOOOO cool!!!!!!!!!!!!

C.Ann what kind of camera did you get? I would love to see some pics do you know how to post them? Or can you email me a sample pic? I am on the hunt for a digital camera.

They got me the Kodak Easy Share Zoom Digital Camera CX6230.

PM me your email address and I'll see if I can send a photo to you.. I don't know how to post photos here - and not even sure I can figure out how to email them, but I'll try! :)

Good for you, C.Ann. Now you need to get some up here.

Pictures will ALWAYS look much better on the screen than print, resolution, regardless how good your monitor is, is much more forgiving than print. You could have a fabulous looking picture on your monitor and a mediocre print from it. For a nice looking picture on a screen, you can get away with less than 75K (almost all of mine I post are under that), but for printing, high quality, you should probably be 500K and higher, in the megs the best.

Good luck, enjoy.

My dh went out today and bought me (he says it's for me) Fujifilm A210. He has taken a couple of pictures to try it out and put them on the computer. I will read the book later and then take some pictures. It really looks a lot more complicated than the film camera I have.

The zoom is so you can bring in closer what you are shooting, so you don't actually have to move in closer.

C.Ann, digital photography isn't so hard after all is it? A 3X optical zoom is nice, you'll like that feature. Digital zooms don't do much for me since I can achieve the same affect using photo software but a nice optical zoom is great. Enjoy your camera.

but now we have them done at http://www.shutterfly.com

The quality is amazing. The prints will last longer (as long as any film print - as opposed to those you print w/ an ink jet printer which only last a couple of years). And you can buy them from shutterfly for less than it would cost you to print them (when you do the prepaid plan).

You can buy your photo paper a lot cheaper at sams club. I love to print out my own photos. You can crop them and all kinds of cool stuff.
I always put my pics on a cd, that way if your computer crashes you don't have to worry about losing your pics. Happen to us last x-mas, I had already printed out most of the pics so it is not a total loss, but i made the mistake of deleting them from my card before making a back up copy on cd. Thank God I had already made a cd for all the other pics before that i had on the computer.
