Yesterday, I woke up with my throat on fire. Within a few hours, I felt like I had been run over my a truck. Fever, aching, sore throat. It feels like my very skin hurts. I'm just spending the weekend in bed. All I can do.

Call your dr for a prescription for Tamiflu-it helps lessen the time and severity of symptoms but you need to take it soon or it doesn't help.

I am so sorry!! I have been in bed for the last two days too, with a lousy head cold. I too, feel like everything on my body hurts and I'm so sick of myself.

Mine started that way so was put on Mucinex expectorent and antibiotic has taken 4 (yes as in four) weeks to get over this. was only on antibiotic 7 days but still on one mucinex a day as was still coughing. so many here have had same thing..Drink a lot of water

Wow, sounds like an early flu season somewhere! I haven't got my flu shot yet, but DS#4 wanted to go out to dinner last Thursday so I drove to his college and our first stop was CVS. "No flu shot, no food". Tuition costs too much to miss school.

I had the same symptoms two weeks ago. I thought it couldn't be the flu because it seems too early for flu season.
At any rate I didn't go to the doctor until days later when I just couldnt' take it anymore. I felt like I was going to die. It had already turned into pneumonia by then and I had to take antibiotics.

Go get Tamiflu if your doctor will prescribe it for you!
My neighbor who is in the medical profession said H1N1 is going around right now. I got the shot for that months ago but maybe it wasn't effective?

I'm sorry.. There's all kinds of weird illnesses going around right now so it might not necessarily be the flu, but it still sounds horrible..

Get plenty of rest and take care of yourself.. Everything and anything can "wait"..

Thank goodness we all got our flu shots today.

A stiff arm muscle for a couple of days sure beats staying in bed for a week sick!
