Yeah, there really needs to be an "I'm just here for the commercials and appetizers" option.

That being said, my vote always goes to the team with the most former University of Michigan players. Anyone know who that is this year?

You base it the same way I do.

You will be rooting on Pittsburg this year. They have 2 Michigan players, with a total of 9 players from the Big 10.

If I didn't like Hines Ward of Pittsburg - I would be rooting on Green Bay, because they have the only Purdue player on the field. They have 8 Big 10 players on their roster.

My DH thinks I am so weird for basing who I root for when I don't have a dog in the fight, based on their Big 10 count.

 I like your thinking. Even though I'm a Packer fan I'm also a Michigan fan since my dad went there. I say just go with the Packers then. ;) The only former UM player we have for sure is Charles Woodson.

Oh, and I vote for the Packers. The Steelers don't need anymore Super Bowl titles. :snooty:

I'm in it for the commercials this year. Don't really care who wins.:cheer2:

OP here...C'mon DISers - get out the vote! Over 400 views but less than 80 cast their vote. Remember, you don't have to be a fan to take an educated guess or voice your opinion.....

Personally, I'm a Packer fan - season ticket holder even. But above all - I appreciate a good competitive game and good sportmanship!

GO PACK GO!

You know, I love to play football, but I have never been able to watch it played.
Good news is, Spring Training is only a month away.

Black and Gold all the way! I love my Steelers!

Did we watch the same Jets-Steelers game :confused3

Steelers will win by a blow-out (for the Steelers that means by more than 7 points)

yeah we saw the same game..the Steelers won by 5, and it would have been a different game without al the penanlties. Not taking away from the Steelers, just my personal observation. The Packers probably won't have as many penalties as the Jets making the match up quite different.

The Steelers have former Wolverines Lamarr Woodley and Larry Foote, but a former Heisman Trophy winner who led Michigan to a national title is worth more than the two of them combined. Woodson is nearing the end of his career and he deserves a ring.

How in the world did you manage this?!?!

"The Packers have never trailed by more than seven points in a game all season, the first team since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970 to accomplish that over the course of a full schedule, according to the Elias Sports Bureau."
In addition, they haven't lost by more than 4 points in a single game.

I would be shocked if the steelers blow them out. But I certainly wouldn't consider 8 points a blow-out unless it's also a shutout. I would consider the Pack-Falcons game a blow-out :lmao:

DH and his family are from Green Bay. Our 2 tickets were actually "inherited" from his uncle who had them forever. All together, our family has 10 tickets.
