Just wondering how many other members will be at Aulani in 19 days!We are taking the kids, boy 14, girls 9 and 11 months. Can't wait!!!
if anyone has any great tips please let me know!
Good Evening Darbry - unfortunately we won't be at Aulani in November but we will be there in December. Would you be able to take a photo or scan a few of the daily Iwa's and post them on Disboards? We have reservations for December 13 - 21st. Our family of 4 includes two single twenty-somethings. I am worried they might get bored with no "night life".
I hope you and your family find the Disney Magic at Aulani
I'm not sure what to expect with the 11 month old and all of the naps and such. But I do plan on going to the Arizona and the flea market on Wednesday...I love flea markets! I would like to do some hiking, we're borrowing a backpack carrier to bring along. Our vacation starts 11/11-11/19. Our two children 11&6 can hardly wait. Our plan for the week is no plan at all. We will try and hit some of the big tours in town. Hope to see your around fellow Dis Mom!!![]()
Almost! We will be there Nov. 3-12. I'm curious what you have planned? We don't have much planned, just a short list of things to do if we get tired of being at the resort.
- U.S.S. Arizona Memorial
- "Hike" to Makapuu Lighthouse
- The Hawaiian Railway (90 min ride on Sundays; DH LOVES trains, and this is an old-fashioned one)
- North Shore (to find a shrimp truck and other touring around)
- Snorkeling at Haunama Bay
We're keeping things simple for this trip because I will be 18-19 weeks pregnant. (Yes, that means no infinity hot tub for me! Boo!)
Wow! Thats quite a long stay! Well for that long, I would suggest that you rely on groceries for your meals, as eating on the resort will get spendy after that many days! My wife and I love eating there, but when we are staying on points, we put the kids in Aunti's PLayhouse, and enjoy ourselves. Kids get groceries, as they are gust going to eat to fuel up for more water adventures anyways.
The Hawiian music at the Olelo room is Terrific! We visit there frequently, even when we are not staying on property! Sat nights are the best. (Look for one of Lei's tables)
The covered chairs on the beach are only $18 for half a day! Includes beach toys (Dont pack beach toys!).
My fife and I like to get a cabana on the day we check out. This gives you a relaxing home base that you can use defore you have to leave. Do this if you have a late flight. We live here, so they have to grab me by the ear and kick me out when its time![]()
darbry said:Just an FYI, there is a surfing competition going on starting November 12th called the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. We've never been into surfing, but I think that it's a cool opportunity to watch something we'd never be able to see in Ohio!!
