Who watched the shuttle launch last night!

I watched it on a live web cam from KSC and another one from the AKLV. Very cool! It would be awesome to see, hear, and feel it in person.

We did! We are up in Amelia Island and had a great view from the beach. It was amazing!

We did!!!! We drove over to Space View Park in Titisville like Kathy suggested. It was amazing in person. To see and hear it. They piped in the coutdown from NASA. It was crazy how it went from night to day in a split second and how the noise was about 30 seconds behind the visual as it roared across the river. So amazing and so glad we drove over to experience it.:goodvibes We met a wonderful couple from Devonshire (sp) who were here on holiday and drove over. It was neat seeing how emotional it made everyone. They were cheering, clapping and crying all at the same time.

We tried to go earlier in the week. I figured last night with it being Friday night 528 would be bumper to bumper. I got up and watched it from my backyard. No fighting traffic that way.

You know I thought the traffic would be way worse than what it was. I dont think alot of people showed up due to the weather being iffy. We got there an hour before the launch, found a parking spot without issue and were able to sit right in front there were still empty seats on the sea wall. I can imagine it could be pretty hectic in that small town though.

watched it from my back porch...one day i'll drive over to titusville to watch it up close

We drove to Merritt Island Park to watch. Really close there and no huge crowds.

I watched it from the parking lot of ASMO, my first shuttle launch ever. I could not convince myself to drive over to the coast to watch it.

We drove out to Titusville, on A1A to watch. Found a cute little mexican restaurant(El Leoncita??) beforehand for a couple margaritas, then went outside to view. AMAZING! We've lived in Orlando for 5 years now and never drove out to see one. Well worth the trip. Took us nearly 3 hours (of a normal 1 hour trip) to get home though.

It only makes me want to be closer for a future launch.
