Who was your wedding planner? Your thoughts?

Was it hard to change planners? Or did they make the change pretty easy?

Well first I should say it wasn't an easy decision. We really liked our first planner. She was a nice person and great at the PS. It was after when for weeks I wouldn't hear back from her it got bad.

Our manager was very understanding but we gave her in depth reason as to why we should chnage. Many things had happened to make us want to change. So I think it depends on the situation. If you just don't "love" the planner is not good enough reason. many documented situations (ie emails) must occur.

then if this happens your manager should be able to help you, but first voice the problems to your manager and see if they can be worked out!

My coordinator was Heidi and I LOVED her!! She was so sweet!

My planner is Karen (I haven't found anyone else who has had her yet) and her assistant is Brandye. So far they seem good! I haven't really spoken to them much since we are still pretty far out.

Anyone else have Karen?

I'm still in the coordinator stage, but I have Bill and he's wonderful. He's been prompt getting back to me whenever I call or email. He's answered my 100's of questions already. I spent45 minutes on the phone with him the first time.


I will be sad to change when the Planner time comes, but here's hoping I get someone as wonderful.

I had Diane Mahoney-Brown as my coordinator, she was the same. I could call and ask any question and most of the time she knew the answer, and if she didnt she looked into it and get the answer.

i have karen...we really only talk through email, which is fine for me. i've changed just about everything about my wedding twice so sometimes i feel like she must be frustrated w/ me but then i think about my stacks of papers and hours on websites that i'm searching and i don't really care anymore

I have Carol Mikles. I think someone mentioned her above. She is awesome! She planned my sister's wedding back in 2000 and now she's doing mine She's friendly, helpful and really prompt with emails/questions. I couldnt ask for more!

I haven't signed my contract yet, so I haven't been assigned a planner. My coordinator is Pam is has been wonderful. We communicate through both email and by phone. She always returns my calls right away and has been very patient with me. It seems like all the coordinators have been great. I haven't heard of many problems.

for the first try at our wedding last year, we had DIane Mahoney Brown and Diane Bowen. Both were outstanding! This time around (last year was just practice I say now) we had Dorreen and today I was assigned Tanis. I haven't spoken to Tanis yet, but I know I've seen good things about her on here. Doreen was ok. SHe was prompt, but she didn't seem to have a lot of information when I asked about things like Dessert parties. In fact, she told me the only location intimate brides can use is Morocco, but I know others have used the UK locations, so I'm hopign Tanis will be more help.

We had Karen and Brandye. They were fantastic!!! I can't say enough about them!

My SM was Heidi Pickert who was super helpful, really funny, and down to earth. I couldn't love her more actually because she talked me into having our wedding on September 30. I was scared of hurricanes! It turned out to be a glorious sunny day and our guests got to use the free dining plan - and the date we originally wanted in October ended up being rainy!

Our Coordinator was Karen Heyn and we loved her. We had our reception in the China Pavilion and it went under construction about a month or so before our wedding (what are the odds?!). We were both bummed about it but what can you do? Karen totally hooked us up. Seriously she went above and beyond and was awesome to have with us on the day of too. She's got a great personality and really seemed to care about us - even though we were couple 1172 of the couples she deals with! lol

Rose Dizon was our floral manager and I am still to this day in love with my bouquet. All of the bouquets and the centerpieces were exquisite and I credit it all to her really listening to what I had in mind and making it even better. She even showed up to deliver them herself on our wedding day and came to see my reaction to the reception decor which I thought was awesome of her to do (and it was so AMAZING I almost cried). She never made me feel like I was annoying her even though I sent her so many adjustments. Just a really nice, generous person.

I have friends who did not like their planners for some reason or another. I think - even though I may have come across like a complete psycho bride at points - it helps to always know in your mind that these coordinators have SO MANY brides they are dealing with - some more insane and demanding than others - so have patience. Your wedding is a priority to you, but it's not their priority until closer to that time. I think we had the relationships we had and got along so well because we were always respectful.

That said - even after a year, I still haven't sent them thank you cards or gifts - we've moved from Boston to Florida and I'm back in school so it keeps slipping my mind, by the time I send something I am positive they will have forgotten us! BAD DISNEYBRIDE.

My coordinator is Pam as well and she was fabulous. It took us almost 3 months to finalize the contract because I was so picky about a lot of it and she never once got frustrated with me. (I do a lot of event planning at work so I am wierd about contracts.)

My planner is Celeste who I have not heard any feedback on. She has been great with me and has help with every odd request from food, to dealing with insance future inlaws and in planning my DF's birthday which is the day after our wedding. No complaints here.

Has anyone else had Celeste?

So last week I sent in my signed contract and Pam told me my planner would be calling me sometime this week. Today Celeste called me and told me she was going to be my planner. Seems other brides on here have been happy with her. She was very sweet and upbeat on the phone. I'm very excited!
