someone won the cruise on 9/12 wonder cruise, then another lady almost one, major cheating, they would say an answer and before saying final answer would wait for audience reaction, it burnt the 2nd contestant, she had the right answer but nobody said anything when she said that answer, then she said another answer and no one said anything, and then changed her answer a third time and one person clapped, so she said that answer, that was the wrong answer

This is one of the reasons I am not fond of this show and usually skip it. I've noticed that as the game goes on, the audience seems to get bored & they start to amuse themselves by shouting the answers, giving them away by clapping, etc. Seems to me that the later contestants get an edge that way!

It seems like there needs to be an annoucement made to the audience about shouting out the answers. Of course maybe no one would pay attention it just like they don't always listen about flash photography and taping the shows. We walked in slightly late to the show a few weeks ago when we sailed so maybe they do make the annoucement already?!

Another way around this would be to have the stage contestant wear head phones connected to the microphone to the announcer. They could turn the audience volume up when needed for the "ask the audience" life lines. Maybe this show is only temporary so they haven't put a lot of planning into it?? It seems like they could do something to make it more fair.

I thought I read on one of these threads that mouseketeer is on Monday(Nassau) night of the four day Wonder cruise. Does anyone know if this is correct? I would like to do Palo on the night of Mouseketeer. Thanks!

we went to see it on our 3 day wonder cruise....
we probably would go again only in the hopes of being picked....the questions were incredibly easy so it wouldn't be difficult to win....
the only thing entertaining about it on our cruise were how amazingly little the contestants knew.....
and of course there was Tony's disfunctional panel (they gave the wrong answers to VERY easy questions).....
the truth is, we were a bit surprised this was a walt disney theatre type thing....i mean, the other two nights there were blockbuster shows, and then there was this on the night in the middle....just a regular cute kind of thing but not blockbuster...
and there were only a handful of people there (the audience barely filled up the first few rows of the theatre)....

On the Magic this show is usually full. DCL does stress that no shouting out of answers is allowed. I have heard them repeat the message during the show when some audience members felt the need to shout them out.

The make the announcements at the beginning of the show and again in the middle if necessary.

What kind of questions do they ask? Are they only about Disney like movies, shows, parks, characters, etc.?

Thanks,
Lisa

The questions they ask can pertain to anything Disney. When we went they asked questions about movies, the theme parks and even where Walt Disney was born. I thought the first few questions for each contestant were easy, but once they got past the third or fourth one, they started to get pretty difficult. I don't think anyone on the 9/5 Wonder cruise got past 5 or 6 questions.

Who is the MC for this show?

It rotates between an actor and the cruise director.
I'll share the story of Tony's dysfunctional panel that Disneyholic Family referred to before he gets a chance...otherwise he'll be traumatized with a flashback again. The spokesman for the panel appeared to be hitting on the female next to him, who only spoke limited English and had no clue about anything Disney. The rest of the panel knew the answers, but he refused to listen to them and would only say what the girl told him. The MC said that he would take an answer from the spokesman only, so the rest of the panel was VERY frustrated...Mr. Hormones caused a contestant to lose on an answer that the panel all knew, except for him and his "girlfriend." Sitting in the audience, I never realized that there could be a little soap opera going on up on the stage!

*laughing*...
it was very obvious to the audience...or at least this family in the audience, that the back row of the panel knew the answers and were splitting a gut over what was happening.....
at one point i thought the back row was going to strangle the front row (where mr. hormones was)......
actually, it was the best part of the show....if not for that panel, the whole thing would have been forgettable...
