I love Who Wants to be a Millionaire and I would love to be picked to be the "stranger". Where should I hang out so I could be asked to be a "stranger"? :teeth:

Good question, I would love to hear the answer too!

When i went saw this show i thought that it was set up... the person was such a character and seemed to be put up there on purpose. I also thought the seats were a little close together... i got a bit closterphobic (sp?) during this show... not sure if it is something i would do again.

Hi, In Feb.2006 I was the "STRANGER"! (luckily my 18 year old son was with me and he actually answered the ?,after I got the phone call and repeated it to him!) Anyway, I was asked by the CM while I was sitting on a bench outside of the main entrance to WWTBAM. We were sitting there because we had JUST missed getting into the show by about 2 minutes and we were trying to decide if we should line up for the next show or go and do something else. Joan

That is so cool, it would be neat to be the stranger. My DD who was 13 last year ended up in the "hot seat" and also ended up asking a stranger, what a great time it was!! :)

We were there in March also.. I cant remember the guy that was there when we went but he was an airline steward from DFW.. He was hilarious.. I thought he was planted in the audience as he was sitting in front of us and was hilarious just the time we saw him sitting in his seat.. I thought for sure it was set up but it wasnt.. He apparently goes all the time.. We saw him at 50's Primetime that day at dinner time and talked to him.. We found out he actually lives within 20 minutes of us.. He was a hoot if it was the same guy you are referring to..

THAT WAS THE SAME GUY!!!! But when we were there he was sitting in the back row with his parents. He aslo made it to the million dollar question so there was only time for him to play... He was pretty funny that why i thought he was planted!

I would love to be in the hot seat for Millionaire. Every time I've played I've ended up in the top 10!

As they say, "always the bridesmaid, never the bride!" LOL... :lmao:

MickeynMinnie and Bettyann: If both of you saw a flight attendant from DFW in the Hot Seat this past March, the rules prohibit any one person from being in the Hot Seat more often than once every thirty days. So I'm probably misunderstanding something, but if you both saw a FA from DFW get into the Hot Seat in the same month, it was most likely two different people.

Now, to the original question: From what I understand (haven't been back since I heard this) the Phone a Complete Stranger phone is inside the waiting area where the randomly-selected Fastest Finger Guests for the next show are waiting, along with Guests in wheelchairs.

eeyoregirl: If you can get to the first show of the day, especially on a non-EMH morning at less busy times, the theater is generally only about half full. Fewer competitors increase your chance for getting in the Hot Seat.

I was in the Hot Seat in December of 2005. I was doing well until I asked the audience. The audience let me down. But, I got a hat, lanyard, and several pins for my efforts. Maggie
