I started to input all the necessary info to see how I would like a more structured touring plan, but I am super overwhelmed. I don't think this is for me... way too much scheduling.

Does anyone use these and like them? Is there a way to utilize these in a more flexible way? We have our park days mapped out but once I'm in the park I just don't know if I want THAT much structure... I kind of like a little more flexibility.

I have used them for two different trips and I like them. You can set the walking speed to very relaxed to build in some time. You can also add breaks.

Once you are in the park you can mark off the items you have done and evaluate the remaining items.

I use these and love them! I couldn't do Disney nearly so successfully without them. What I do is try to plan out our day. Then I put it into TP to see if it agrees with what I have planned. Sometimes I am way off for a wait time or haven't given enough consideration to walking. And other times it comes up with a plan that had never even occurred to me but works better than what I'd been planning. And sometimes the plan that I created works just like it is, but it's nice being able to double check it.

The only thing I do is set the walking speed to average or slow (maybe those aren't the precise terms). I am a very fast walker, but other than the first hour or so in the park, I find it absolutely impossible to walk at my normal pace. The parks (especially at the times of year we visit) get very congested and everyone seems to walk slowly. So find I need to adapt and adjust our walking times down to a slower pace.

I use them and like them, but I am someone who likes to go to WDW with a set plan. I do not fall into the category of "we'll go to whatever park the first bus goes to and wing it"...not that there is anything wrong with that! I select attractions and shows we want to see, add meals and planned breaks, optimize, and then usually move things around a little to suit personal experience and preference. You can add breaks of whatever length you choose if you want to build some unstructured time into your plan. I don't have a problem with varying from the plan, but I do like to have one as a starting point and knowing approximate times to get FPs.

I used the personalized touring plans for our last trip and our upcoming trip and really like them. I usually plug in what we want to do hit optimize to see what TP comes up and what their ideas for possible FPs are. Than I will move things around and evaluate until I get it where I want it. I usually put it at "slow" pace so we have a little extra time built in for snacks, water or bathroom breaks etc.

OK, I am learning how to readjust plans slightly and evaluate...I think I am liking this... if accurate it seems that it could potentially save me a lot of time!

I use it when we take friends or family. It's really helpful for planning when all 9 of us go together. We do not stick to it religiously but it helps keep us in line and on time for the things that matter the most. I agree, it can be overwhelming but worth it in the long run.

How much are the touring plans

I like to play around with them. I mostly know our touring plans by heart from past trips. We generally schedule the first few hours pretty well, then afternoon and evenings are more go with the flow.

Our upcoming trip, we're doing a super hop day-to visit all four parks in one day. The personalized touring plans are super helpful for me to see what we can reasonably do in each park that particular day.

Yes, I only use evaluate. The optimize and I never see things the same way.
I learned to change my walking speed to relaxed and adjusting the other setting to walks as minimum as possible before hitting optimize and it helps a ton. Then I just move things around a bit and only uses evaluate to find the perfect plan!

We use them as a starting point and are flexible with how we are feeling at the time. Once in the park we check wait times on the app and evaluate the plan to change as appropriate. It really changed how much we could get done once we started using it...why wait for long periods of time in line if you don't need to!

We're also hopping to all 4 parks in one day! But we're doing the 4-Park Challenge and TP has been great to plan all our must-do's to complete the challenge and not walk around losing a lot of time. So far my biggest problem has been fitting Festival of Fantasy into my schedule, as seeing it from the main hub is one of the tasks and the time change from 3 to 2pm really threw a wrench into my plans!

I have them setup, but I'm still quite concerned with the wait times its listing. Especially when I look day before at estimated wait times for the next day and then look at that day and see the wait times are as I expected, much longer than what touring plans has listed.

The Disney lines app? Showing wait times? Or is there something else I am missing?
In the Lines app (not MDE), I find the most accurate is to go to parks at the bottom and select the icon for the park we're visiting. For subscribers, it will show the expected as well as posted wait time. There is also the 'reported wait times' (under home), but I find this is not as user friendly. It requires a lot of scrolling, and you have to pay attention to what is actual vs posted as well as what time it was reported.

I have my personalized touring plans completed for my upcoming WDW stay and, using the minimize walking and evaluate only, it looks like I am all set after tweaking just a few things. I REALLY hope that the actual wait times match the predicted wait times......I did good!!!
