We are going to the Polynesian on Tuesday. I am using AMEX points for a 3 night package and upgraded through AMEX to lagoon view (with my extra $). I tried to pay extra through AMEX for concierge lagoon, but they couldn't do it in their system. They told me to ask at check in, but I'd rather have it confirmed and am willing to pay the extra.
So I called WDTC (confirmation letter from AMEX) and they couldn't do this either because it had been booked through AMEX and they couldn't touch the reservation. The CM told me that lagoon view was good enough, why bother paying the extra?I am trying to give Disney extra money and no one wants to take it!
So, do you think I would get anywhere calling Poly guest services? the room assigner? Do you think they'd let me talk to a manager? Anybody have any suggestions?
