My family and I have been to Disney twice with Travel City and have always found them to be excellent value for money compared to other operators. We are planning on travelling again in November 2008, unless we find £3000 somewhere. Now I know people will say shop around and look for bargains but can anyone recommend a reliable operator whose prices are competitive?

I've done it twice with TCD and have booked for Sept '08 with them aswell. We looked around each time but this is where we got our best deal

Nov is one of the cheapest months to go, do it yourself rather than a tour op.
Just checked Virgin for this year £495 ad 408 ch and thats with no offers on at present. When they have a sale on they should be cheper than this. Indirect you should be able to go for around the £300 mark in Nov.
Dont suppose you have any Virgin miles? as you can book for this Nov at £308 Ad £244 ch.
What sort of prices are TCD quoting?

Have seen some good flight prices with flyglobespan from Gatwick Manchester and Glasgow to Orlando but you have to time it right.
We can't get why next years Florida hols are so expensive when the exchange rate is so good? It could me cheaper to book it all yourself....:confused3

For November this year we have been quoted about £1500 without park tickets. Don't know what next years prices are yet.

What are you getting for that? how many adults? how many children? Is it for 2 week? which hotel or is it flight only? car included?

For this price it is two adults, one child staying at best western plaza for two weeks with a car.

Just had a look at Virgin holidays for a price for this Nov and 2 weeks, 2 adults and 1 child, start from £1,285 plus car (not sure what Virgin charge but you can rent elsewhere from about £200 with platinum insurance)
So Virgin package would be around £1,500. Personally would do Virgin over TCD anyday.
I know they are dearer now to book for next Nov (from about £1800 all in) but if you wait until this time next year they will have a sale again. Nov is about the quietist time of year.
I have not found TCD any cheaper than Virgin recently, I know they must be sometimes because people use them.
Hope this helps you.

Virgin usually have a sale in September. We bought flights one year in sept for November and got them for £270 ea inc taxes.

Many thanks Wayneg and everyone else. I will be looking at the Virgin site shortly. I agree that of the two Virgin are pobably better but then I have never flown with them. One last thing can you book direct with Virgin for that price or does the high street oprator also charge that? Many thanks again.:thumbsup2

The main thing with booking with a company like Virgin is if things go wrong, 9 times out of 10 everything will be fine with TCD, we used them no problem, but its when something goes wrong say with the plane for eg, Virgin have a better back up than TCD.
Last October we were so glad we booked Virgin. We gave ourselves over 5 hours to do a 3 hour journey to get down to Heathrow from Leeds(previously done Gatwick in 3 hours on Xmas morning) with Weather, Traffic and accidents we arrived 59 minutes to take off. The staff were fantastic, calmed my wife down and rebooked us on the next flight 3 hours later with no charge. Could not fault their service that day.
As for TA instead of online, try, get a price online take it to a TA and ask them, if its more expensive ask them to price match. Doubt they will beat it.
Just easier to do online then you can access your booking anytime you want.
