Who stole Donald???

I forgot to mention in my SSR report, that we went swimming at High Rock Springs pool last week. (Loved it by the way) I noticed the spray area, but Donald was missing. I could have sworn that I saw him on Monday, but Tuesday he was missing. I thought that I remembered seeing that they had repaired this area after the hurricane. I asked the lifeguard what had happened to Donald, and she just smiled. She said "he is gone, we don't know what happened to him, when we came to work today he was gone!" I said, "do you mean someone stole him?" She replied "I think so". She said that they were told they would have a new Donald in about 2 weeks. So, does anybody know what really happened to Donald? Maybe we should check to see if TJKraz has an alibi!!! Just kidding!

I think that shrek came over and took him because he is so sad that universal does not have such awesome resorts.(onlykidding also)

At the beginning of January Donald was doing his job at High Rock Springs Pool but looking a little the worse for wear. He wasn't catching the water in his jug as I thought he should be and the paint on his tail was peeling. Perhaps the Donald has gone for a little refurbishment and upgrading.

RC - I thought Donald wasn't suppose to catch the water. Somethign about gettign so close, but as Donald's luck would have it, missing. IIRC the imagineer who designed him wanted him to look frustrated fro the very reason. He lost that battle, but that's the story I remember. As for peeling paint, I bet that's probably the reason.

I think wtpclc is right about Donald, though...I don't believe it was designed to have the water actually streaming into the container.

I think if he were stolen, that CM would have been a little more stressed about it rather than smiling like they knew a secret.

I have no idea if TJkraz is a Donald guy. I just figured since he seems to be the biggest SSR fan on the boards, maybe he snuck down to SSR and took home a "little" souvenir from his trip.

I hope Donald is back by the middle of March for our first visit...I've been telling my DS (3) that he'll be able to play at the pool with Donald!

While I'm pretty sure something that big would be hard to "steal", theft of Disney theming props is not unknown. Anyone remember Pirates Cove on the OKW waterway? Those props were removed by some "guests" and Disney simply removed the signage rather than replace them

I heard he was last seen at typhoon lagoon in the lazy river, fit the inner tube quite well. He mentioned he misses his home at SSR and will be returning soon, just wanted to check on the scene's and see what he has been missing, but again he said he is not missing much and wants to go home.

At the All-Stars in the food court filling his bucket, that was clearly dated 2004, with Soda! The lady with the Big Gulp cup and Bread Bag notified security as she was horrified at such abuse!.

In his defense, he was so frustrated with not catching any water at SSR that he went for the easy refill!
