I want to book my 1st Disney Cruise!!!!:) But I am really nervous of who I should book with.

I have quotes from Dreams Unlimited, Small World, Disney and Vacations to go, the prices are all the same but the on board credit differs by about $100.

Really I am just after some UK booking experiences with the above companys, did all go ok, how helpful are they with first time cruisers and I know that this is REALLY paranoid but in the current climate, if anything goes wrong with the company - is my booking safe (im not sure with the US companys if they have the same ABTA regulations)

Thank you so much!!

I have booked several times with Dreams Unlimited - they are a great company with good service and very helpful for first timers. I'm going with them again in December (on the DIS boards podcast cruise ) I haven't used the others so can't comment.

You will love your first cruise!! :thumbsup2

I booked direct with Disney then transfered it to Dreams so I got the onboard credit.

I would only use Dreams or direct with Disney, don't know anything about the others. Whichever you use pay by credit card for protection.

Hi Wayne if you book Disney via Quidco do you still earn the cashback on DCL bookings?

Thank you!
Dreams Unlimited sound great but they are offering one of the lowest OBC amounts. I am trying to not let greed get the better of me!:rolleyes1

I have not booked with a agent for years and years, so am I right in thinking that if I pay on my credit card if anything does go bottoms up with the company I am covered?

Thanks again

Are overseas purchases covered?
Any purchase you make by credit card while you are abroad will be protected under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, providing they fall within the £100 - £30,000 inclusion range. Similarly, any purchase you make from a company based overseas will receive the same level of protection when you pay by credit card. This holds true regardless of whether you make your purchase online, by telephone or via mail order.

Thanks Wayne! At least I know I will be covered in a worst case sinario(think I will just about fall within the 30k limit!!!:rotfl:....I wish!!!)

It is Small World Vacations that are coming out the best and I have had a good gander at the website and all looks good. If anyone has any not to good reviews then please let me know! I just want the holiday to run smoothly!

Cheers! :thumbsup2

Only had a quick read of 1st(2007) & last page (2010) starts off good but recetly a few bad reviews but I didn't read the details, have a read yourself.

Whats the difference in OBC?

I am having similar problem myself this week, do I book direct with Disney.co.uk who I believe are ABTA bonded or Complete Orlando who are not but would have CC protection, £143.25 saving with CO.

Hmm, yes. I spent a little while longer looking at more reviews and it does sound that maybe they do not have as much attention to detail as dreams, I would be silly to have all the above recommendations and ignore them.

I think before I make any final decisions I will get in contact with dreams and see if they will offer the same on board credit?!

I hate spending more than I have to but if I am going to spend the next few months worrying about it then is it really worth it?

With your senario, is it accom only with the Disney dining? If so and that is what you are REALLY after then you are probably safer paying slightly more and going with Disney as if anything does go wrong with CO you may not get the dining plan if you have to rebook at a later date.
Do disney not price match?
