Who Should I Book Through?

We have been twice and always booked through disney. I was checking out DU just due to the fact there will be 10 of us going. Is there any real benefit to using them over going directly through disney's website? As far as dinner ressies, room requests, all of the important stuff.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
thanks

I plan on using DU for the first time for our upcoming trip. I like the fact that they will make the ADR's for you because when it comes to the 180 day mark I will have to be at work and won't be able to call. They will also watch for all the discounts for you.

One advantage of using DU is that they keep an eye out for any rate changes and will automatically apply any discount that is available for you. And they will take care of making your ADR's for you--a real convience if you work or just don't have the time to make the calls yourself.

Check out their concierge service explaination here: http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/vacationplanning/index.htm

We're still of the kind that prefers to book directly through CRO, like asking them and getting the right answers, we book room only and hardly make any ADR's. We watch for the codes and call a month before we leave to re confirm everything. I've checked CRO prices with DU prices, same so no cheaper there but we prefer to talk direct with a Disney CM and skip the computer e-mails, I won't even book on line either, too many headaches.

I'm like pepe of ohio....I book directly through Disney so I can have complete control of my reservation. I prefer that over using a TA because going through a TA means they "own" the ressie until you check in. If you have questions, want to change resorts, add/subtract days, you have to first contact the TA who then contacts Disney to make the changes as Disney won't talk to you :rolleyes1. Many people love using TA's which is fine, as I have nothing against them....I just prefer booking directly. Plus I like making my own ADR's so I really wouldn't utilize all a TA has to offer . But everybody has their own preference......it's all in what you feel more comfortable with ::yes::.

i like to use a travel agent that i can sit and talk with. ive never used an online one, and dont want to. i have booked through disney direct but one hugh disadvantage with that is they wont offer up any info on discounts. where a travel agent not only will, they will continue to watch for discounts until its too late. dont expect that from disney.

I had this same problem booking through Disney, so for my next trip I am using Kelly from Magical Travel. She is WONDERFUL. PM me if you would like more information!!! You won't be disappointed. HTH!

Wow, DU sounds great. We just booked through AAA, because I couldn't find any codes myself and figured at least I would get their discount. In trips past, I have always booked my room only and bought tickets through undercover tourist, but this trip we are traveling with my in-laws and they were interested in the DDP, which does seem like a good deal, but you have to book everything together I think. Room, tickets and DDP. I will definitely look into DU next trip. Thanks for the info!:)

FYI - You don't have to book through AAA to get the AAA discount. When you book directly with Disney, just tell them you have AAA and they will give you the discount, if it is available.
