Who Saw The Hat

You know we had to pay admission for the hat to get into the pin event.

Just would like to know if you saw it and did you like it.

Glad to see so many of my friends on Saturday, even if we did arrive un-fashionably late (Boma's was just too good to leave!). Great job to Jeff and Lauri!

I saw the hat. I even had to put my sunglasses on (indoors) because of the reflection off of the pins.

John looked shorter this time - is the weight of the hat compressing his spine? {lol}

I got to see it close up!!! At first I thought I was boring John with my conversation..... then I realized his head kept dropping 'cause of the weight of the hat!!!

I know there were more people than 3 that saw THE HAT. By the way it will be revamped next time you see it.

The first time I saw John it was late at night and he was wearing the little hat. Just a baseball cap with a few pins along the sides -- sort of like a training hat. As a matter of fact, I didn't recognize him until I saw Shirley next to him.

The next day I had the true sighting of the "mature" hat. It was astounding. Several children were blinded by the reflection. (Don't worry, no permanent damage. John cured them by allowing them to touch the hat. The healing power of the hat is well known. )

Me, me!!! I finally got to see the famous hat -- and to meet the great guy who wears it and his wonderful wife. I already felt like I knew Shirley & John, but this was my first opportunity to see them in person.

Shirley and John, you two are an incredible couple and I'm so glad to have finally met you. John, thanks so much for the pins that you gave to my granddaughters. Mandi will never forget it. And thank you for being so patient with her while she was acting shy. You have a wonderful way with kids.

I spotted it on Friday morning. Don't think I saw it again, though. What a crowd!!!

I forgot to share one thing with you guys about the hat.
When we check into our room the first thing John does is to display his vest and Hat in the window along with lanyards

He uses Coat Hangers, Chairs, and of course he could never live without masking tape.

People actually come by and take pictures of it. We had one person knock on our door and gave him a pin he did not have.
My husband is a trip.
