Heading down in December and looking for non-stop flights between IND and MCO (and back). Thanks!

direct flights

airtran, southwest, and northwest

northwest has the best times . early arrival around 1100 am and last departures 7 pm and if you catch them on sale the price is approx 170-230 per ticket.

airtran is between 69-99 each way on sale.

southwest can be the cheapest. go to their website and sign up for ding. I got 39 dollars for one way and 99 dollars for the other.

I hope this helps. I think there might be others but these are the cheaper carriers.

Don't buy your tickets until SWA and AirTran offer flights for your time period. We just returned from WDW last Tues. on AirTran. The ticket price was $127 rt/ns( all fees and taxes included). SWA had a Ding special from IND to MCO last August for $82.11 rt/ns. Some friends of ours paid the $82.11.

Keep an eye on http://www.indianapolisairport.com/ for airline prices out of IND and sign up for SWA's Ding. Go to airlines and check the 3 NS airlines.

We will be going back to WDW in Dec., 2006. SWA is now offering $157.10 r/t fares from IND to MCO this summer.

I'm an elite member of NWA and fly with them when their fares are competitive.

we will be flying NorthWest this May ... roundtrip direct with tax and everything 135 each ... it was a great deal so I bought our tickets way back in September.
We are pretty lucky living here in Danville to have an airport that has options and is pretty cheep to fly out of ... My sister lives in San Antonio and that is expensive to fly out of most of the time. ATA use to be our airline of choice for MCO but our last trip with them was in December, they no longer fly IND to MCO anymore :lmao: .

I'm a strong believer of the DING. Of course Dec DINGs probably won't show until Sept/Oct but that's OK. Watching the DING throughout the year gives me an idea of future flying plans.

Well your response answered the eariler question: ATA no longer flys NS between IND to MCO :(

IND is a nice port. Not too busy and easily accessible. The last time I did SW at IND was back in 2000 and never had a hitch getting through security, etc. It's going to be interesting how things have changed since 9/11.

Living west of Greencastle, we visit Avon, Plainfield and drive through D'ville frequently. In fact in miles, we live closer to Terre Haute but due to the pokes over there, we can be in Avon or Plainfield in the same amount of time as TH.

  I miss ATA. We have been using northwest, but its just not the same since ATA left. Thanks for the link to the airport Gary. I had never used that before, but that is really handy!!!

That's a great link - thanks!

I'm in Zionsville now (a northwest suburb if Indy), but went to DePauw in Greencastle. I know the area well!
