If You Had Wings?? I know it didn't amount to much but I still enjoyed it greatly!!!!

I loved that ride when I was little! Wasn't there a part when a fan blew in your face because you were supposed to feel like you were going fast or flying or something like that?

Am I correct in that it now houses Buzz Light Year? I think the ending part is the ending of Buzz??

i haven't been on the Buzz ride, but I think you might be right. Maybe i'll check it out when we go! ;)

We loved that ride :goodvibes I think the strobe tunnel in Buzz was part of the original attraction. It had a good little song too. :earsboy:

I remember that too! We always went on that when I was little. I bet that the end part of Buzz (the strobe lights) is the end of it.

I miss it alot. I don't think Buzz holds a candle to it, but that's progress for you. ;)

IYHW was a great attraction back in the day - I believe it was something like a C ticket - so you could ride over and over. :teeth:

Actually it didn't require a ticket at all, it was a freebie. That's why I remember it so well since we went on it so much. I also have a DVD copy of it. It's not the greatest copy in the world but it works for me to keep the memory alive.

OK - I knew there was something great about it, that we rode it so many times! :teeth:

I never rode If You had Wings, but I did ride the remake Dreamflight hundreds of times! That was my favorite ride at WDW, and I was so sad when it closed. When I was little, I loved when you rode through the inside of the airplane and saw the people inside!

Oh that ride brings back many happy memories of my grandma, who passed away last year. We used to ride it over and over again together. :goodvibes

I too, loved If You Had Wings. My husband and I were just talking about that the other night how much we both loved it and miss it. Oh well, it was sponsored by Eastern Airlines I believe and now is gone just the them.

Okay, I will be the naysayer on this one. I thought that ride (with any/all of the sponsors) was terrible (okay, maybe terrible is a bit strong - how about lacking any originality or imagination). But that's why ice cream comes in different flavors!

My mom and I both miss it so much. The long lost rides remind me of my dad who loved Disney.. he passed away and I always wonder what he'd think of Disney now!

I loved the song... when I did a search for it last year I found it on a site (I can't remember which one right now)

I wish I"d known to watch the end of Buzz. I really don't like Buzz and just rode it for my ex who loved it. I think it's a cheesey cheapy looking ride... reminds me of attractions in Niagara Falls, CA.

I"ll be sure to ride buzz again just for the end :rotfl:

Along with IYHW I miss so many other rides. I'm an "old school" WDW fan and have been through all the changes. When they started the updates or sometimes changing the rides completely, I didn't like it at all. But, everyone would explain that they have to keep up with progress. Some changes have worked out better than others. I understand it more now, but still miss...
