Who Likes the "Asides" in Trip Reports?

I really enjoy the "asides", they make me understand the family or "cast of characters" if you will, more and understand why they are the people they are. I have read some reports that make me feel like I have known these people all my life!!! I say BRING ON THE ASIDES!!!!

If a report is mere a litany of 'i saw' . . . 'I rode' . . . 'i ate' . . . Then I DON't Read it. Give me a nice meaty tale with feelings, disasters, back story the works, and I'll subscribe and wait for you for life. Give me Delswife, Horseygirl, Vettechick, JoeDisney, Kevin Stringer and others of their ilk, and I am a HAPPY CAMPER!
