We are going this June with a CM friend of mine who suggested it. I posted a poll a while back and it got the least amount of votes among WS restaurants. I am alittle leary, but as I said she suggested it, so I decided to go for it. we love Chinese food. I realize that it is supposedly overpriced, but my freind gets her discount there so that will help a lot as far as getting our money's worth. The UG doesn't rate it very well either. I guess I am looking for someone to tell me they have had a good experience here. Anyone? Anyone?:confused3

WE have eaten there two or three times and have founmd our food to be peasantly spiced and quite tasty. WIth our DDE card the check evens out to about the same as I'd pay locally for dinner. HTH

::MinnieMo I ate there once. The food was okay. Very expensive for Chinese food. I didn't really find anything that I couldn't get at my Chinese restaurant around the corner - plus, the Chinese restaurant around the corner is a quarter of the price. I don't make it a point to eat there at all. There are so many other different things to try. ::MickeyMo

I agree that there are a lot more exotic places to try and we have been to Le Cellier, Biergarten, and the counter service in Morroco and Mexico, so we have already tried a few of the other offerings in WS. I think we will also try Rose and Crown while we are there. Thanks for the input. Anyone else have anything to say about Nine Dragons?

Most guidebooks trash Nine Dragons, so many start out with a negative attitude about the place. We have eaten in about every Chinese restaurant in San Francisco and can tell you the food at Nine Dragons is far superior to almost all SF places. Have lunch at Nine Dragons and do the "sampler." They used to do this "buffet-style" but still served by wait-staff. No longer. It is cooked for you & served hot. Nine Dragons is IOP one of the best-kept-secrets at WDW.

The food is OK but not for the price. I agree that it is similar quality to your corner Chinese place for triple the price.

The chef has changed since Jan '04 (not sure when exactly) so the menu has changed since the last time I was there. My parents and grandparents ate there last night and had a very nice meal and really seemed to enjoy it. I never had a bad meal there though, but like I said, those meals were with other chefs.

I've eaten at Nine Dragons many times, and I've always enjoyed it. I love the pot stickers and Genaral Tso's chicken there, and I had some amazing lo mein there a couple of years ago.

We have eaten there about 4 times. My favorite is the Peking Duck for 2. We have never had a bad experience and we have always used our DDE card there. Our 8yr old picky son even finds things to eat.
