I hear them running aroung the track. Is anyone coming to the race this weekend?

We went the first year the US Grand Prix was here in Indy and we just weren't that thrilled with it. Of course, one of those Schumacher guys had the lead from the start and no one EVER passed him. B-O-R-I-N-G! No "racing."

It seems to me to be a wealthy man's sport where there are only 2-3 guys who have a chance to win the race.

It also sounds like folks around Indy haven't been too impressed either. They're reporting that there are several unsold tickets (which NEVER happens for the 500 or Brickyard 400). The Europeans seem to be here, and even Prince Andrew, but there's just not a lot of local US fans.

You're right, there isn't a lot of locals that go to this race. I'm not that interested in it either, but as long as I'm able to get out of my neighborhood, I'll be alright. lol

With the other two races, I can't go anywhere on those days unless I time it carefully. lol

Sorry Jason, but Formula 1 grand prix racing is hardly rednecks making left hand turns! It's multi-million dollar race cars (with names like Jaguar and Ferrari) with millionaires driving them on a road course with both left and right hand turns.

Not my cup of tea, but certainly a "global sport," unlike most of our other racing.

rednecks?? I think the stuck up Formula One drivers may disagree with that.

My sentiments exactly, Jason. I'd almost be willing to listen to 24 hours of country music than to watch a car race. (no offense to those that like both;) )

To me nothing is more boring than watching auto racing of any kind.

me!!! I like formula one racing!!! Can I come stay with you Serena?! ;)

I've gone to the USGP the last two years. There's a lot more to racing than just passing. I enjoy watching the drivers on course in general. However, I'm setting this one out due to a scheduling conflict and the only excitement on race day this year seems to be which red car will win.

LOL, sure wagamama.

I grew up here so racing is in my blood. I tend not to watch until the last 1/4 of the race though. I'm not that much of a race fan. lol
I've been to one Indy 500. Considering how close I am, you would think I would have been to more. But nope, only one and we didn't have to find a place to park. lol
