~!Who knew you could relax in Disney?~Mother/Daughter Tr~5/2 May Trip Plans Days 5-8

Sorry gang - I must've been out of touch and missed the past several updates.
Sounds like Caitlin had a blast surfing!
That always sounded like it might be fun to try those lessons - maybe when the kids get older.
But the pictures you did have make Caitlin look like a professional out there!

As for the Photopass, did you guys try to call them and find your pictures?
We've had success with that in the past if you give them the time of day, park, and a picture of yourself.

As for Captain's Grille, we've never been but it looks alot like Cape May decoration-wise.
I've never been over to the Yacht Club side though - how is it over there?

She did have a great time surfing! If your children enjoy the water you should keep it mind. Both times Caitlin went there were pre-teens in her classes and they always do well. It seems to come easier to kids than to the adults.

I didn't realize you could call Photopass and ask about your pictures. I will keep that in mind if we ever lose them again!

While I like both the YC and the BC I think the YC side is the less child friendly of the two. It's decor seems a little more formal than the BC and since it often hosts conventions you are more apt to see people dressed up over there.

The Captain's Grille looks so cute! Great decor. I love the artwork, too. It's just gorgeous.

If you want to check out those pictures they are in the hallway between the Solarium and the BC Marketplace.

We really enjoyed the food and the special treatment at the CG! If you're looking for a convenient place to eat while at BCV definitely check it out!

I will definitely check out the picks and I think that's a wonderful idea for a convenient, nice meal. We have ADRs booked to the gills, but you never know when you are just going to feel like doing something different, quick, and easy.

Great update!! The food looks so wonderful, and if you liked that dessert you've got to go to The Melting Pot in Troy. The food is so good there as well :)

Your trip isn't winding down is it? Thank goodness the next one is not that far away!!

Great post!! We loved Captain's Grille too....now looking at your pictures I wish we would have arrived a little earlier to really explore the resort...but come to think of it, maybe I didn't want to depress myself cause I know we'll never stay there:lmao:

Thanks! The food was really good! We have never tried the Melting Pot. I guess we need to put that on our "to do" list :)

We still have to finish the rest of the current day (and it's only around noon by the end of the last post) and then we have one more full day and a half day so don't go away :goodvibes

Thank you :) We really love both the YC and BC and while we'd love to be staying there again this year I figure as long as I'm at Disney it doesn't matter what hotel I'm in :goodvibes

I'm glad you guys enjoyed CG. We ate there one of our last trips and enjoyed it too. I think I also had the crabcakes. Yum. That extra dessert and goody bag looks like fun, too!

Thanks :) I know your family enjoys that area as much as we do :)

Just finished catching up on the trip report! It is amazing. As a fellow Michigander who goes to Disney at least twice a year, it was great to follow along. I especially enjoyed the start at Detroit Metro, it felt just like the trips we take. My husband and I will be heading down there May 7-14, staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Maybe we will see you down there!!

Hi Neighbor! Glad you're all caught up :)

Glad you're enjoying the TR. Wow what a coincidence! If you see us say "Hi" :goodvibes

Hi All! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Thought I'd share a little real life update....as you know Caitlin's done some "extra work" on a few movies. (Scream 4 releases next month ;)) Well she is VERY excited that tomorrow she is working on a film starring and directed by one of the sexiest men alive! George Clooney :cool1: (be still my heart) She is even more excited about his co-star, none other than ex-Mousketeer (gotta add the Disney connection) Ryan Gosling :yay: Yes that lucky girl gets to spend the day checking out those very handsome gentlemen and gets paid for it! They don't realize she'd do it for free :rotfl: The film is titled "The Ides of March" and Clooney is running for president in the film. We'll let you know how it goes and if George is as handsome in person as he is in the movies :)

WHAT???!!! Wow good for her!!! I love George and Ryan, I should make a trip to wherever they will be. lol It's gotta be somewhere in my area!! It's amazing how many movies are made around here lately. Have fun Caitlin!! Tell us all about it!!
