Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I always love all the details that you take pictures of. When I'm actually there I don't always have time to notice the details, so I love reading your trip reports cause then I can see them!

You are an updating fool! I would love some of that heat right about now. I am so sick of winter! The end of March can't get here soon enough for me.

my poor Ashton...looking at your update
I want to go there, and there, and there, and shot that gun, and I want to go there...
Do you remember going there?
Of course, and I want to go there. When are we going to go?

fun update! I guess I need to make my way over to the CBR thread and find a map to see where I would like to put a request in for...hmmmm!

Oh we're still kids......just not little ones.:rotfl2: You know that I've never been in the Boneyard? I just now realized that. John went with the kids in the Boneyard a couple of times but we've never returned. If there's no height requirement, I may go in just to have a look around.

That's actually something I was wondering about? So there is no height restriction for the HISTK playground? Two adults can go in and play without any kid? I hope there is no height restriction for the Boneyard. Maybe you'll have to visit it on a future trip. :goodvibes

I agree! I'm reading your TR and all those comments about the heat and I'm sitting in my living room freezing! Our heater doesn't work so well in the "open" space. I'd take sweating over freezing any day. Is it summer yet? :confused3

:rotfl:I take a few pictures before the shooting begins, but after that I am hard-core trying to get a high score(or should I say a higher score than Chris- he always whips me tho)!

If I tried to take pictures AND play TSM, I would score would be even lower than it normally is, so I don't even try. I love the picture of the oversized outlet.

Crowded!!! :scared1:

You can see that I didn't do so well with the picture taking....should have just stuck with trying to score.

Great updates! You are on a roll lately. :)

I've been trying to get this report finished up so I can start a pre-trip report. It also helps that I have finished up billing and my boss has had appointments like crazy which means I have more time to Dis while at work.:rolleyes1

No, we have not been to many of the playgrounds. Our May '09 trip I was letting him play on the toddler playground across from Mickey's house in Toonstown and this kid started vomiting choc milk and the parents just left. No one came to clean it up and it just absorbed into the wonderful ground material. I went and told a CM and never looked back. Needless to say we have not visited another playground since. I still cannot get over how thoughtless parents can be giving their kids milk on a 90 degree day in the FL heat and send them to play....eeewwwww:scared1:

I guess being from the New Orleans area I know exactly what is going to happen if I give my child milk while playing in the heat :rolleyes1

Yuck! If either of my kids had thrown up while at Disney, I would have found a castmember to clean it up. That's plain old gross!

Isaiah is all about the goofy picture poses, but Dan has decided my picture taking obsession is annoying and he won't be bothered! I get the traditional 16-year-old eyeroll upon photo requests. Too bad, Dan...I'm taking my pictures! LOL!

I love the Tink one...my birthday is coming up, maybe Jeff would get me one! I'll let you know!

Oh no! Not the eyeroll! Let's just hope that Isaiah never outgrows silly pictures.

I did find more fabric to make another Tink backsack should you want one. Just let me know....whenever.....no hurry.

We have some of the same TSM pictures!!! Isn't it funny that no matter how many times we go to Disney, or ride a ride, or see a show, we have to take pictures? Dale is always picking on me and saying that I have 100s of pictures of the same things..............:lmao:. I try to explain to him that it is different every time we go and he says "No, it isn't, that tree still looks just like it did last time we were here", that "tree" being the Tree of Life...............:lmao:. When he says this, I take a few more pictures, just for good measure. Men just don't understand.

John has totally given up on wondering why I take so many pictures of the same thing. Poor Dale, he should realize by now that you're going to take the pictures and just don't say anything about it.

Lisa I need you to cross your fingers for some Disney magic/Tinkerbell pixie dust what ever you want to call it. If they offer free dining this fall we are going to stay at CBR. :)

I've got my fingers crossed, my eyes and my legs too! I really think you'd enjoy a stay there.

Great Toy Story Mania pics....I love the one of the giant nightlight. It's amazing how much detail there is and how much I miss! ;)

There are a lot of details that I know I probably missed too.

I always love all the details that you take pictures of. When I'm actually there I don't always have time to notice the details, so I love reading your trip reports cause then I can see them!

Thanks! You've got three kids to keep up with so I can understand you missing some of the details.

You are an updating fool! I would love some of that heat right about now. I am so sick of winter! The end of March can't get here soon enough for me.

I'm trying to get this thing done! It's 57 here right now and the sun is shining. A few days ago, we had nothing but rain all day long.

So cute! You'll have to make notes of exactly what Ashton wants to see and do this trip and work them into your itinerary.

Did you book a preferred room at CBR or just a standard? If you booked preferred, ask for Martinique 26. It's super close to Old Port Royale. If you booked standard, I'd request something in Jamaica or even one of the non-preferred Martinique buildings. Our walk from Jamaica 41 which is one of the furthest buildings from Old Port Royale was about 5 minutes to the food court. It's a pleasant walk so it didn't seem long at all.

That's actually something I was wondering about? So there is no height restriction for the HISTK playground? Two adults can go in and play without any kid? I hope there is no height restriction for the Boneyard. Maybe you'll have to visit it on a future trip. :goodvibes

I have never seen a castmember kick anybody out of the playground for being too tall. I know when Hunter was smaller, I was sliding down some of the slides with him. I've seen other parents doing some of the obstacles with their kids too.

I agree! I'm reading your TR and all those comments about the heat and I'm sitting in my living room freezing! Our heater doesn't work so well in the "open" space. I'd take sweating over freezing any day. Is it summer yet? :confused3

Being that we are from Louisiana, the heat usually doesn't bother us too much but for some reason, it was so darned hot this trip. Our temperature right now is 57 and the sun is shining brightly. This is pretty much the norm for us this time of the year.

See red comments

:rotfl:I take a few pictures before the shooting begins, but after that I am hard-core trying to get a high score(or should I say a higher score than Chris- he always whips me tho)!

I should have known better than try and take pictures. I knew I needed to concentrate on shooting 'cause I'm so bad at it.:upsidedow

Hellooooooo out there in the Dis world! Looks like I have posted replies to everybody and can now get busy writing another installment. I only have one deadline today and it's halfway done.

I had to make new tickers this morning because something's up with the Disboards and half of the tickers I have seen are all gobbly gooped up. Now my little sliders are all the way to the left where before they were about 1/3 of the way over. That makes me sad! I like it when the sliders are further over.:sad1: Oh well, at least they are showing up now.

Mama came over last night and while we were visiting she said something, again, about calling Disney and canceling. John and I both told her that she was more than welcome to go and we wanted her to go but it was her decision. She said her sister, her two cousins and my middle sister were going to fuss at her if she cancels to which I replied "I know they are." They all know that Mama is at an age that if she doesn't travel with one of her kids or a church group, she won't be traveling very far from home any more. That's just part of getting old.

They also know how much fun she has when she goes some place with my family. I know she really truly wants to go but she is concerned about the money. I know that finances are a true concern for most people now-a-days, myself included, but she can't take it with her! I told her to spend it all before she dies 'cause I don't want anything to fuss about with my sisters when she's gone. Not that we would but I was trying to make a joke.

Oh well, she'll eventually decide what she's going to do and I'm not going to pester her about it. That will do nothing but put pressure on her to make a decision one way or the other and I don't want to pressure her. It's her decision to make. I can only tell her how much we enjoyed her going with us before.

Okay, I'm stopping before this becomes a full blown installment and I run out of time to post a "real" installment.

When we got off the bus, we called Mama to tell her we were back and that we were at Old Port Royale. I asked if she wanted me to come over and walk back to the food court and she said "Why? I know my way there." While we waited on her to get there, I popped into the restroom. Wanna see what the inside of the CBR OPR bathroom looks like? Here you go:

Hunter found a checkerboard in the corner of the store that any guest could use and he and John played a game. A boy about 9 or 10 walked by and John asked him if he wanted to play. He said yes so he and Hunter played until Mama arrived. Hunter bid his new friend goodbye and we were off to see what we wanted for lunch.

Mama ordered a chilli cheese dog with french fries. She added onions from the toppings bar:

SANY3574.jpg

Instead of choosing a cake or something similar for dessert, Mama chose to wait and get soft serve ice cream. They gave her a cup at checkout and all she had to do was go over after she finished her meal.

I ordered a cheese pizza as did Hunter. They both came with a side salad and a dessert. Hunter's pizza, salad and cupcake:

This is my cupcake:

John's sandwich that he got from the pizza and pasta station. Look how much meat they piled on!

SANY3572.jpg

A view that shows the top of the bread and the carrot cake John chose as his dessert. Oh and it came with a side of homemade potato chips.

***Drat! Just when I thought I was going to get to write a long installment, my boss has just got to have something right now. I'll come back this evening and post more.

Oh! my that sandwich that John had looks sooooo good....that is my kinda of sandwich, a little bit of bread (well, that is alot of bread, but I would just eat the top) with alot of meat!!!

I just love the pictures from TSM! Toy Story is one of my favorite movies!! I always take hundreds of pictures while in line but I don't think I would ever wait in the horrendous stand-by lines!

Your pictures and comments about CBR really make me want to try it one day! I had not heard much about it when we first began planning our trip. I am glad I had booked before finding your TR because it really would have made the choice harder than it was!!

There was so much meat on the sandwich. He took a bit of it off the bread and ate it beside itself. I got a taste and it was really good!

I would have thought that the lines for Toy Story Mania would have gotten a bit shorter by now. However, they haven't. We've only waited in the stand-by line once. I don't know how we did it but when we got there, the line was only 30 minutes.

The CBR is such a beautiful resort. That's why it's so hard for us to even consider staying somewhere else. Having said that, we are going to stay at Port Olreans Riverside for two nights before headed over to the CBR.

I can hardly play the game on TSM without taking pictures on it. :rotfl2::rotfl2: But you got some great shots of that as well as the Studios itself. Also, that sandwich John had at the Food Court is HUGE.

I forgot to mention that the table we sat at in the food court was right beside a window and we could see the promenade and all of the people walking by. We could also see a few dark clouds in the sky and wondered if it would rain. We were going to Hoop Dee Doo Review that evening and had planned on taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the boat over to Fort Wilderness. If it started raining, we might want to reconsider how we would get to Fort Wilderness.

We finished up our meal and decided to do a little browsing in the stores.

100_4014.jpg

I know those don't really show much about the store but I guess that's all I took. After our purchases, we went over to the arcade so Hunter could play a few games. I honestly don't remember what we bought in the store but we must have bought something because Mama's holding a bag in this picture:

SANY3578.jpg

We had been in the arcade for about 30 minutes when Hunter's arcade card was used up. We walked into the main part of the building and immediately heard thunder. Oh no! We looked out the double doors and, sure enough, it had started sprinkling rain. The skies were darker and we knew we better hot foot it on over to Jamaica before we got soaking wet.

Out we went into the rain. Mama didn't relish getting wet again since she had already lost her voice from our Animal Kingdom day. We let Mama set the pace and let me tell you, she was moving pretty darn fast. Stupid me, being the picture taking fool that I am, took a picture of the rain falling in the lake:

SANY3579.jpg

We were over the bridge and almost to the village of Jamaica when it started to rain hard. Thankfully, the trees and foliage surrounding the buildings shielded us from most of the rain. We ducked under the cover of our building. See how hard it was raining:

SANY3581.jpg

When we opened our door, the room was freezing! That is one of my only complaints about the CBR, the mousekeepers turn the air conditioners on the coldest setting when they clean and the rooms are so cold. I say that but then I've read other posters say their mousekeepers turn their air conditioners on the lowest cold setting and their rooms are warm when they return. So, maybe we just have hot natured mousekeepers. :confused3

Mama said she was going in the room to change her clothes and she wanted to get in from the rain because she didn't want to get any sicker. I wasn't going into that cold room! John and I pulled the chairs out of the room and decided to sit and watch the rain.

Wanna see what a drowned rat looks like?

SANY3583.jpg

Hunter came out and took our picture:

SANY3585.jpg

Then, I took one of Hunter. You might not can tell how wet he is but his shirt is a light tan and it was now almost see thru:

SANY3586.jpg

You can't tell it from this picture but I was trying to take a picture of how much rain water was coming off the building.

SANY3587.jpg

It rained so hard that the gutters and rain spouts couldn't keep up with it and the sidewalk in front of our door had a bit of water coming up over it. (It quickly receeded when the rain slowed down.) I also have a video somewhere that I took of the rain and how the wind was blowing. The palm fronds were swaying back and forth from the hard wind.

Hunter went in to take off his shirt, watch a little television and do some cup stacking. He took the camera in with him and took a picture of himself cup stacking.

SANY3591.jpg

The rain slacked up after a little while and the room had warmed up enough that John and I went inside to rest before it was time to head out to Fort Wilderness. I know that John took a nap. Hard to imagine it...isn't it.:lmao: I think I may have dozed on and off. Hunter's at an age where I don't feel bad if I do get a few winks in. I did ask him to lie down while he was watching television so at least he'd get some rest.

We had booked the last Hoop Dee Doo show because, when you are on the dining plan, you can get Category 1 seating if you book the last show of the day. If you book one of the two earlier shows, you will be seated in Category 2 or 3. I was hesitant to book the late show because it didn't start until 9:00 p.m. We never eat dinner that late. But, John said he'd rather sit up front and let Mama get the full experience of the show.

We wanted to make a stop at Wilderness Lodge before going on to Ft. Wilderness and I made the necessary time adjustments to make sure we'd have time to do that. By the time we got ready to leave the resort, the rain had stopped completely.

When we walked outside you could definitely tell it had been raining. John picked up some debris and said they looked just like rabbit ears. They did!

SANY3596.jpg

I don't know what's up with the face? :rotfl: You can also see the debris on the sidewalk. We walked over to the bus stop and we were the only ones there. We figured everybody was either still in the parks or had taken shelter from the earlier storm.

SANY3598.jpg

***Up next, a boat ride, Wilderness Lodge and the Hoop Dee Doo Review!

I wish I had taken better pictures than I did on Toy Story Mania but it's pretty darn hard to do when you're spinning and pulling strings. :lmao:

The sandwich was huge! And it was good!

TSM is my family's favorite attraction at DW there is no way I could take pictures I gotta play the game :woohoo: and keep my undefeated record going ;).Your way of getting to Hoop Dee Doo Review is exactly the way we go. Bus ride, boat ride and a walk, three trips in one.:thumbsup2

YUM! That lunch looks great. Those cupcakes look to die for. What kind was yours. It looks super good.
