Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Thank you!!!! You just found my souvie gift for my soon-to-be son-in-law for our May trip. I just love, love, LOVE that Darth Tater t-shirt. Was it in the shop at the exit from the BLT? I have the Darth Tater Mr. Potato Head I bought a few years ago, but cracked up over the French fry. :lmao:

Great job on the backsacks, and the flowers!
Way to go Hunter on getting selected for being an extra!

Thanks! I was very pleased with how the backsacks turned out.

Hunter was so happy when he realized he had been chosen to participate in the show!

lol I love the darth tater shirt I may have to get that for my brother if it's still there in Nov.

I thought it was the cutest thing too.

What is the name of the counter service place beside Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground? I can't remember. Anyway, the t-shirts were in the store directly in front of that counter service restaurant.

I love your back packs. Sadly we have a zillion around, so I can't justify buying another. But you've heard me say that before....then I go and buy something. :rotfl:

The flowers look great. I don't know if I would have the talent to arrnge them though. I guess if I really put my mind to it I could. I swear my craftiness has worn off as I age. :confused3

How cool that Hunter got chosen.:yay: I hope you can find the video. Was he soaking wet when he met up with you then? Or does that rain outfit they put on keeo most of you dry? It doesn't look like it does.

I know what you mean about saying "I have too many of those already." and then I turn around and buy a couple more.

Oh I don't have the talent to do the flower arrangements....my sister does.:rotfl: She is so good at those types of things as is my other sister. I am so happy that they have volunteered to help.

Hunter thought it was the best thing that he got chosen. The rain suit kept him pretty dry. He had a little water around the top of his shirt and some on his hat but, other than that, he was dry.

Hi Lisa! That is great that Hunter got chosen! My mom was chosen a couple years ago. I took lots of pictures! It was so funny! Especially watching the playback of the whole scene! I don't care for the backlot tour anymore. We still do it when we are there, but it's just not the same as it use to be. No more houses, etc. I even noticed there really aren't any "workers" working in the studios that you go by anymore. It's just not the same! :confused3 Well, can't wait to hear all about your fun on the playground!!!

The flowers look beautiful! I love the color. That is a awesome idea to buy them wholesale. I'll have to remember that in 20 years when Lexi gets married ;)

That is the COOLEST thing that Hunter was chosen & for the most fun part to play!!!! I hope you can find the video to post on here.
That was probably one of your biggest high-lights of the trip, I'm sure!

Morning! I hope everybody's day has started off well. I am still working on billing. Since my boss was in Spain over the Christmas and New Year's holidays, we are about 3 weeks behind schedule. I've tried, repeatedly, to get the Statements out but I keep having to stop and do other things.

I did find more Hollywood Studios pictures but haven't found the video yet. I'm uploading the pics now and hope to post an installment later today.

Isn't it neat when one of your family members is chosen to participate? It just makes it so much more fun.

The Backlot Tour really isn't the same as it used to be but we still do it anyway.

I didn't even think about going to a wholesaler when we were talking flowers. Thank goodness my sister knows those kinds of things.:thumbsup2

I found more pictures but I didn't find the video yet. Sometimes when I burn my pictures to a CD, the videos don't download so I am thinking it's on a memory card.

Thank goodness that I have pictures to help me remember things about our trip! Now, that I found my other pictures, I can remember how things transpired the morning that we revisited Hollywood Studios.

While waiting on John and Hunter to grab their hats and sunglasses, I stepped outside and took a few pictures of the decorations I put on our resort window. I didn't do a whole lot because I didn't want to take away from the beauty of the resort.

Our window:

Look really closely at this picture and you can see the top of the bowling pins at Pop Century. I took this one standing in the circle where you can pull up and unload your luggage.

100_3883.jpg

These are all of the pictures I have until we got to Hollywood Studios. Once we were in the park, I had to stop and take pictures of the hat:

100_3884.jpg

100_3885.jpg

Because I found my other set of pictures (It's nice to have two cameras while at Disney but afterwards it can be a bit confusing.:upsidedow), I can now confirm that we went straight to Toy Story Mania and I got Fastpasses for us to use later. After that, that's when the wandering began.

100_3886.jpg

100_3887.jpg

Apparently, I forgot that I also went in search of a water fountain which I thought was near the bathrooms. Hunter took this picture of me:

100_3889.jpg

And he took these while waiting:

100_3890.jpg

100_3892.jpg

When I met back up, John had the camera and I took control of it again. Poor John can't take a picture to save his life. Usually, the pictures are either sideways or the people don't have heads in them. Having said that, he's a little better at it since the age of digital cameras. He can actually have a look-see at the picture and retake it if need be.

I snapped a picture of Hunter standing at the Backlot Tour entrance:

100_3891.jpg

***Photobucket just froze. I'll try restarting it. Be back in a bit.

Walking up the ramp to the Backlot Tour:

100_3893.jpg

This is when Hunter got chosen as an extra in the movie scene. I tried taking a picture of Hunter in the changing area:

100_3894.jpg

The castmember was giving the extras instructions:

100_3897.jpg

After the instructions were given and all of the other guests were situated in the standing area/theater/whatever it's called, the main host castmember came out and introduced Hunter and explained what he would be doing:

100_3898.jpg

100_3899.jpg

Hunter was put into his position and given further instructions:

100_3900.jpg

Action was called and Hunter started his acting. Soon, there was water everywhere:

100_3901.jpg

100_3902.jpg

100_3903.jpg

Ya'll already know how the rest of the show goes so I won't explain. Instead, I'll post pictures:

100_3904.jpg

100_3905.jpg

100_3906.jpg

Then, they called Hunter up and everybody gave him a big handclap:

100_3907.jpg

See how Hunter's a little hunched over in this picture? He said he was trying to keep water from going down his neck:

100_3908.jpg

Hunter changed his clothes and, as I said earlier, we continued on through the prop storage room towards the tram. Because we were behind one show and another was about to start, we had a little more time to enjoy looking at the various props without feeling like we were holding up the line:

More canyon pictures which are pretty much the same as the ones I posted before. I think Hunter had one camera and I had another.

**Up next: You're never to old to play on a playground!

Way go to, Hunter! I love that he got picked. Andy got picked in 2009 and he was one of the two guys on the boat. This is the year Andy took his baseball team and they were all in stitches when he got picked.

I don't know how you keep things straight with two cameras. :confused3

It's so much more fun to watch the show if someone you know is in it! I am sure that Andy's baseball team loved that he got chosen.

Obviously, I don't keep things straight too terribly well since I am always searching for pictures.:rotfl:

When Hunter was younger, there was no way that we could pass by the Honey I Shrunk The Kids playground without stopping. Now that Hunter is older, we still don't pass it up.

Okay, so I'll admit that it wasn't actually Hunter who suggested that we go to the playground. It was I. Yep, I wanted to go in for old times sake and I wanted to take some comparison pictures. You know the pictures you take to compare how big your kid was to something in the playground when they were 3 and then when they were 13. There were two comparison pictures that I wanted to take....one with Hunter near the sniffing dog nose and one on the ant.

We got to the entrance and I could see that, compared to other times we had visited the playground, there really weren't that many people in there. As soon as we stepped in, I started taking pictures:

100_3933.jpg

100_3934.jpg

100_3937.jpg

Since there was no one waiting to get on Antie, I told Hunter to hop on:

100_3935.jpg

I want a turn! I want a turn!:yay:

100_3936.jpg

John wouldn't take his turn. He was a party pooper and said I had to settle for the picture with him standing beside me while I was on Antie.

We ventured deeper into the playground so I could take more pictures and so we could climb up to where the dog nose was:

100_3938.jpg

We found it! I remember when Hunter could barely put his hand in to feel the sniffing effects:

100_3939.jpg

Picture taken, Hunter stuck his head into one of the tunnels to see what was in there:

100_3940.jpg

I took more pictures on our way down to the bottom of the playground again:

100_3941.jpg

100_3942.jpg

100_3943.jpg

We were all starting to get a little hot and stuffy in the playground so we decided we would leave the playground to the little kiddies to explore. But, not without one little slide by Hunter. I'll admit that I put him up to this picture:rolleyes:

100_3944.jpg

And more pictures by me:

100_3945.jpg

100_3946.jpg

We said goodbye to the playground for this year and the boys posed with the Tonka truck beside the exit:

100_3948.jpg

100_3947.jpg

We cut through the little walkway out into the street and we heard GO! GO! POWER RANGERS!

100_3949.jpg

100_3950.jpg

Hunter never did really get into the whole Power Rangers thing. He had a few but wasn't nuts over them like some of his friends were.

**Continued in next post

We still had some time to kill before we could use our Toy Story Mania Fastpasses so we just meandered along, stopping to smell the roses, so to speak.

100_3951.jpg

100_3952.jpg

I have no idea what the heck Hunter was doing in this picture. Maybe he was upset because the meter ran out or something?:confused3

100_3953.jpg

It was nice to take in all of the details along the streets of Hollywood Studios. It's funny how you can miss all of these things when you are in a hurry.

100_3954.jpg

100_3955.jpg

We came upon Mater and Lightning so we stopped to take a picture since there was nobody waiting. I don't know what was up with that since there always seems to be lots of little kids wanting to see them.

100_3956.jpg

A little further along, we saw this Star Wars backdrop which we assumed they were using for Meet and Greets during Star Wars Weekends:

100_3958.jpg

We continued on and turned the corner to see the Muppet store and Mama Melrose painted on the side of a building:

100_3959.jpg

100_3961.jpg

100_3962.jpg

100_3963.jpg

Even though we had seen Muppetvision 3D on our first Hollywood Studios day, we figured why not see it again since there was very little wait.

100_3965.jpg

Oh, before we did that, I took a picture of one of the statues in the fountain:

100_3964.jpg

Walking into Muppevision 3D:

100_3967.jpg

100_3968.jpg

Once we were inside the actual theater, I took two more pictures before the standard "no eating, drinking or flash photography" spiel.

100_3971.jpg

100_3969.jpg

For those of you wondering if John took a little siesta during the show.....he did!

**Up next: Toy Story Mania baby!

Way to go with the deal on the flowers:thumbsup2. River has always wanted to be picked for the water show when I told him Hunter got picked he was so excited:yay: I can't wait to see how the rest of your day goes.

Thanks for the thumbs up!

I couldn't believe how cheap the flowers were there. We were almost skipping out the door.

We were surprised that Hunter was chosen because of the age limit. I guess the castmembers can break the rules every once in a while.

AWESOME, AWESOME AWESOME picutres. I know you won't believe this, but we have never been to the playground at DHS. We may just have to check it out in March because it looks awesome.
I love that Hunter was picked to do the phone part; that parts looks like it would be the most fun.

It was fun to see Hunter in the Backlot Tour. When we were there in Dec. it was so cold they didn't have audience participation. They went through the whole thing with no actors. It was odd to say the least. I wondered what 1st timers thought about it.
