Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Hi Lisa!:goodvibes

I'm so glad the wedding plans are coming along.:thumbsup2

Still haven't went on the Great Movie Ride.:sad2: So many things we still have to do!!! Oh well...it gives us an excuse to keep going back!;)

I am brand new to DISboards and have to say I just love your Trip Report. I'll now have to go back and read your previous ones. :yay:

I was so happy when I got to the end and your report isn't completely finished. It just means there are more laughs to come! :cool1:

I'm glad it was nothing serious with your Mama! What a scare, though. It sounds like the wedding plans are moving along nicely, too! Take your time updating- you know we'll be here when you do!! :goodvibes

Friday, Lacey and I were in Big Lots and they had Pirouline cookies for just $3.00 a tin. The big tins...not the little bitty ones. Pirouline cookies are yummy to your tummy goodness.

I LOVE those things!! They have some at Aldi's also, and they are soooo good!

Lisa, I'm so sorry....I had no idea that you were worried about Mama. I am SO happy that it is nothing serious. You know, any time you need to talk, you can find me on FB or AOL just to talk.

Glad to hear there was nothing serious with your Mama. I don't think you need another curveball right at this moment!

I'm so glad everything is good with your Mama. I know that sick feeling in the pit of you stomach was like concrete until you heard the good news.

Pirouline cookies ARE yummy to the tummy. My kids LOVE those things. They usually have them at The Dollar Tree around Christmas and I buy a whole bunch for stocking stuffers and to have as special snacks. They are so light it would be really easy to eat a whole can in one sitting.....:lmao:. You are so right about not being able to bake that many cookies for $33.

I know what you mean about Grandparents not showing up for stuff. Dale's parents didn't show up for either of Amanda's graduations and they don't live that far. In fact in the 7 years we have been in this house; they have never been here. They have to drive by my house every time they come to town :sad2:. I told Amanda she really shouldn't expect them to be at her wedding. The embarrassing part of that is Matt's mom has already pruned her guest list down and she still has 256 people that HAVE to get invitations :scared1:. I don't even KNOW 256 people much less that many that HAVE to get an invitation :rolleyes1.

Lisa, I am so glad to hear that your Mom is okay! I am exactly the same way you are, I always act like I "know" it is nothing to keep everyone else from worrying more, even if I am freaking out inside!

Good find on the cookies, that is an amazing steal. Every dollar saved helps. One of my sisters is getting married in September of next year, and I'm helping her with the wedding plans. We are all doing a ton of research to try to save as much as possible. Thankfully we found a fantastic place in our town that will do the wedding on one side of their property (and on the water) and then the reception on the other side. They do all their own catering too! And they are about 1/2 the cost of anywhere else and have great reviews. Good luck with the continued planning!

Oh how I love Big Lots for weddings!!! Watch for the sand for the sand thingy! I got a gazillion little marble looking glass bead things that decorated my tables. OH! And just a thought! If she is gonna use candles... DO NOT GET SCENTED CANDLES! You think "Oh, this vanilla smells so good" but then, you get 15 burning in a room along with food smells??? Ugh! I found unscented white and cream candles at Big Lots.

Glad to hear the scare is over! I was a budget minder for our wedding to. We did all the flowers (fake) decortions( pew bows, centerpieces) and favors.

Glad to hear that there wasn't anything real serious going on with Mama!!! I'm sure you were just a whole bucket of mess trying to stay calm for her.

Good job on the wedding shopping! I love finding just what you need, when you need it, and everything works out well.

A bit late as I just caught up on everything but just wanted to say that Lacey's wedding sounds like it's going to be beautiful! I've had a few friends that had a cupcake tower and I think it's a really fun way to go.

If your hubby thinks that's odd, you can tell him at my wedding we didn't have any type of cake! Neither of us are huge cake fans, so we had these delicious wild berry fruit tarts. The caterers just did a display of about five of them on some tiers, and a lot of our guests said they were delicious. I DID have to have a very stern talk with my DH about NOT smearing fruit tart all over me during the pictures, though! Cake is one thing but berry juice and a white dress is another story! Luckily, all went well :)

Thanks for all your updates, it's so fun to read about wedding planning, and glad your Mom's health scare turned out ok!

Please keep this thread to WDW Trip related topics.
Thank you.

Let me see where I was when I left off.......oh yeah, we had just gotten off The Great Movie Ride where I had taken some not-so-good pictures. To describe them as not-so-good would be an understatement. They were downright blurry and bad!

Hunter's first Fastpass to see Lorne Peterson was 2 something. I think it was somewhere around 2:30 ish. We figured we'd have time to see Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular so we headed over that way. It was so ever-lovin' hot in the line. Thank goodness they had the misters going or everybody in the line would have been melted into one giant puddle.

We made it into the theater and we got some fairly decent seats despite the fact that we had been in the middle section of the line. However, that also meant that we had to wait until they filled the theater to the max before they actually started the show. When I say filled to the max, I mean standing room only.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, the show did, indeed start. Here's a picture or two of the beginning:

A little after the show started, Hunter and I started doubting our choice to see the show. We certainly didn't want to be late using our Fastpasses as they were like the golden ticket in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We had to be on time or else we couldn't use them.

Hunter and I had trouble paying attention to the incredible stunt performers but I did manage to snap pictures:

Yeah, yeah, flip flip, tumble, tumble.....can we please move a little quicker? We've got Fastpasses to meet somebody incredibly famous! (At least that's what Hunter told me.....remember....I don't have a clue who these people are.)

Go ahead Jones and whatever your name is lady and fling yourself from one building to another:

I kept a close eye on my watch as did Hunter and we were starting to fidgit in our seats like a little kid who had to tinkle. A few more stunts before we decided if we needed to leave or not:

And, then, boom bam, the truck flips over and that's all Hunter and I can stand.

I told John that we were going to go ahead and leave. We didn't quite know for sure where we were to line up to see Mr. Lorne Peterson and that was making me a little nervous. John said he was going to stay and watch and he'd call us when he left the theater.

I stopped the first castmember I saw outside the theater and asked where we were to go to see Mr. Peterson. We were relieved to see that it was just a little ways outside the theater. We walked over and there were little tent/awning things set up for each of the Star Wars people/creators/whatever you call them.

We quickly found Mr. Peterson's line and showed our Fastpasses to the castmember at the end of the line. He unhooked the ropes and let us into the holding area and we waited. Oh, and he gave us a black and white picture of Mr. Peterson so that we could get his autograph. As we are standing there, we saw that some of the people in front of us had brought huge Star Wars models, plush dolls, Star Wars figures in boxes, etc. for Mr. Peterson to sign. I felt kind of silly that all we had was a WDW autograph book and the black and white picture they handed out to us. I suggested to Hunter that we have Mr. Peterson sign our park map and he thought that was a great idea.

While we waited, I snapped pictures:

About this time, John called to say the show was over and asked where he needed to go. I told him where we were and he found us quickly. He waited outside the little roped off area.

Very soon, we saw that Mr. Peterson had arrived and had started greeting the guests. It didn't take long at all before we were standing underneath this sign:

And, after a few more minutes, we were admitted into the tent area to meet Mr. Peterson. Hunter was so happy which made me so happy. The castmember took our camera and snapped a few pictures:

I have to say that I was very impressed with Mr. Peterson. He chatted with Hunter and I. Hunter asked him a few questions and Mr. Peterson answered them as if he had all the time in the world. What a wonderful "famous person" encounter we had.

***I need to stop here and edit a few pictures. Hopefully, I can write a bit more this afteroon.

I just had to laugh at your statement that you had trouble paying attention to the performance, but you could still snap pictures:lmao: Said like a true DIS trip reporter;)
