Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I never get tired of Wishes (or any firework) pictures! I want a good camera too. I love taking pictures and I just know that one day I will have a good camera, but like you....too many other things are taking priority!!

I think being at one resort will be much more relaxing, and I agree with another post: if you want to see POR/POFQ just hop over there and "get a feel"!!

I had so many more pictures of Wishes but only posted the decent ones. I bought a little Kodak Easy Share camera on Sam's Club's auctions for just $51.00 and it normally sold for somewhere around $100. I am going to try it out before we leave and see what kind of pictures it takes. I figure I can always give it to Hunter if I don't like it.

I couldn't see myself packing a suitcase for the road and a suitcase (or 2 knowing the way I pack) for our two nights at POR and, then, checking out of POR and into CBR and still making it to the Magic Kingdom at a decent time.

I love all the Wishes pictures! I don't think I've ever gotten tired of Wishes pictures. I'm glad it wasn't too crowded in front of Crystal Palace. :)

A split stay really does sound like more trouble than it's worth in your case. And...you have a resort you LOVE...why mess with success, right?

Ahhh....Wishes.....*sigh*. There's nothing quite like it. Tired of Wishes pictures? I think NOT!

You got some nice ones of the castle all lit up. I especially like the ones with the reflection in the water.....nice!

Don't make Lisa leave.....don't do it! I'm sure you don't leave without some kicking, screaming and pouting! ;)

I enjoyed your fireworks pictures, don't think that they're bad! I'd definitely never be able to get clear ones like that!

Sounds like you made the right choice staying at one resort through your upcoming trip! :thumbsup2

Love the fireworks [ictures. I know the hassle of changing resorts. We changed places lots of times this trip. It was a bit of a hassle. We went with the flow...but I do know I never want to stay off property again.

Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised when we found the benches in front of the Crystal Palace. It was a great place to watch the fireworks.

Since we stop and spend the night somewhere during our drive to Disney, I pack a bag just for that night. I would have done the same thing for our two night stay at POR. I certainly didn't want to have to dig out all the bags multiple times.

I thought some of the pictures turned out precent decent considering they were taken with a point and shoot camera and not some fancy one.

Oh don't you worry, I did not go down without some kickin' and screamin'. :lmao: Well, not actually kickin' and screamin' but I think you know what I mean.

Thank you! I feel much better knowing that, even though I have to check out and check back in, at least I'll be doing it at one resort instead of two.

I am soooo looking forward to your trip report. I know you've had a lot going on with the lost memory card but I am sure that you've got more than enough pictures without it.

Once we stayed onsite, we said we'd never stay offsite again. UNLESS that was the only way we could go to Disney at all.

Lisa, I love ALL your pictures. I think you do an amazing job - my little pocket camera pictures come out blurry half the time.
I just have to share, because I am very excited! Every year I go to the NABT conference, which is a national biology teacher's convention. When I saw that this fall it will be in Anaheim, I was VERY excited, and knew that for the first time I would get to see Disneyland. WELL, when I went to book my hotel reservations, I discovered that the conference hotel is the Anaheim Marriott, which is WALKING distance to Disneyland!! Now the conference is Wednesday afternoon through Saturday, so I decided to book the hotel starting on Sunday. That would give me at least two full days in Disneyland. I couldn't book at conference rates through the website for some reason, so I called them. He said I can give you conference rates for Tuesday through Saturday, but there are no rooms at that rate on Sunday/Monday, but let me see what other rates I can find. He came back laughing and said, well, I don't quite believe it myself, but I can book you for $99 a night for those two nights! (They had a one day cancellation option and then charged to my card, but that was worth it to get that rate!)
So now I have to start learning all about DIsneyland, because I have never been there. However, for my second gee whiz golly moment, when I did a preliminary search on the DIS for October, I discovered their big Halloween party is held in October on TUESDAY and Friday nights, so I will even get to attend that on that Tuesday night. Life is good!! :dance3:

Oh my geeeeez! I am dancing right along with you!:dance3:

We thought about taking a trip to Disneyland a couple of years ago and I bought a Birnbaum's Guide at Books a Million. It looked like a lot of fun!

Great Wishes photos!!! Did you start a PTR? You must be geting close to the 40 day mark on your countdown! I'm at 36 days today. :woohoo:

The magazine arrived Saturday! Thank you so very much! We had a wedding to go to Saturday afternoon and were busy yesterday and I didn't get a chance to send you a thank you email.

I am going to try and start my pre-trip report today. That is, if my boss cooperates and leaves me alone. :rolleyes1

I love your Wishes pictures!!! I can't wait to see it again in person!!

Just FYI...if you guys get board and want to visit the parks on your do nothing days...you can pick your tickets up early at your resort..and go to the parks!

Also...Just found out I will be in your neck of the woods next month...I have to come over there to present a Continuing Education Conference for work!

I have used a Kodak Easy Share many times and those cameras can take some pretty decent pictures! Just don't use the "fireworks" mode if it has one. I don't understand that mode but it has a super delay! (at least mine always did!)

:goodvibesReady to hear about your trip plans!! :goodvibes

You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy it. I just love all of the color photos in that magazine.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get time to start a PTR today. :goodvibes

Sorry about the Brazilians at the CP...some of them can be quite annoying.

Your dinner looks yummy.

And you can NEVER have too many Wishes pictures. My question is if you left with Hunter and left John with your mom, how do you know if he took a nap or was on the phone? ;)

You know it's funny how things work out some time. I just told you back a few post that we want to do dinner at CP but always do breakfast. Well we are adding a extra day to our trip and since all my aunt talks about is eeyore we are going to start our trip with breakfast at CP and end our trip with dinner at CP. :)

Yay for adding another day to your trip. I think you're going to be happy with your dinner at Crystal Palace. The fire roasted corn spoon bread is one of my favorite things on the buffet.

Hey.....I hadn't thought about that. I need to ask John what he was doing while Wishes was happening.

The pictures are the best part of the magazine! Started the pre-trip report yesterday.

Oh shoot! I will probably use both cameras for the fireworks pictures just to make sure I get some halfway decent ones.

I had read that we could get our tickets early and will definitely keep that in mind if we end up wanting to hit the parks one day.

If you are anywhere near the courthouse....honk your horn so I'll know your here!

As I said before, it was out last night at Walt Disney World and we had eaten a good meal with Tigger, Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore. We had laughed at the black and white pants man and scowled at the rude teenagers. We had watched Wishes from in front of Crystal Palace and now it seemed as if the night was winding down.

NOOOOOOOO! I don't want the night to wind down! I don't want my time at the Magic Kingdom to end! I don't want it! I don't want it! I don't want it! (I wish there was a foot stomping, fit pitching smiley so I could insert it here.) I wasn't going down so easy and suggested that we find something else to do. Everybody was game so we headed to Adventureland to take a cruise with the pirates again. It was pretty much a walk-on.

Hunter took this picture of John and I sitting behind him and his Mamaw:

The Magic Carpets line was pretty long so we decided to skip it and cut through to Liberty Square so we could take another ride through The Haunted Mansion. I tried taking a few pictures while waiting in the queue but they didn't turn out very well. But, they are pictures and I'm going to post them.

Fortunately, our wait wasn't too long and we were soon let into the stretching room. Of course, we had to look up when the lights went out so we could see the guy hanging from the noose above us. I was so happy when the doors of the stretching room opened and I didn't see a ton of people. I've mentioned before how much I can't stand how you feel like a bunch of cows being herded to branding or even slaughter. Thankfully, because there weren't lots of people there, us cows were given a respite.:yay:

Before loading our doombuggy, I wanted to see if I could get a picture or two.

So far, Mama had done an excellent job of getting on and off the moving conveyor belts but we were prepared just in case. We all took our places, stepped onto the belt and walked fairly quickly to the doombuggy and Mama hopped right on.:cheer2: Way to go girlfriend!

After the Haunted Mansion, we took a little walk to Fantasyland to see what, if anything, had a short line so we could ride it. Snow White had just a 5 minute wait so that's what we chose. Pictures, of course:
