What cell phone company do you use? What kind of plan do you have? How many minutes are included and at what price? How many minutes do you actually use a month?

I have Nextel service. I get 400 minutes a month with unlimited incoming calls, unlimited nights and weekends, and unlimited Direct Connect (the walkie talkie feature) I actually use around 4000 minutes a month but most of it is after 9 at night and on the weekends. Anyone else have Nextel? I love the Direct Connect!

I use Cingular- 500 daytime and 3500 night/weekend minutes with free long distance and no roaming charges for $50/month. I usually only use around 200 of the daytime minutes, though.

Sprint PCS only because I get a smokin' deal through work.

Funny aside--there is a dad at my son's daycare who has Nextel with direct connect, and in the mornings, as they are walking into the Center, I sometimes hear him talking to his crews:

"OK--everyone watch your language, we are heading into the Daycare"

Because you can hear what they are saying as well.

Funny that you ask this today:D
My cell phone broke two days ago & I just ordered a new one this morning. I got a phone with GSM service instead of digital service. I have 600 anytime minutes, unlimited nights & weekends & long distance for 39.99 a month. I have AT&T service.

We have the family talk service from T-Mobile. We get 800 anytime minutes, free nationwide, free weekend, free calls to any people using T-Mobile. There are 3 of us that share this plan and our monthly bill is $69.99.

We have Nextel and Verizon Wireless. I like them both.

Cingular. I think I get 350 anytime minutes and 5000 night/weekend minutes. But it's shared time with my SO on our family plan. His plan is $40/month, mine is $19/month.

We pay for our college DS's phone. It's a Verizon and I think he gets 200 minutes for $39.

I have Sprint PCS. I think my plan is 300 anytime minutes/3000 night and weekend minutes/ unlimited long-distance and some other stuff. I pay $30/mo. I usually don't use all my daytime minutes and use about 1500 night and weekend minutes to call my sister.

Sprint PCS. DH and I share 400 anytime minutes and unlimited night and weekends. BUT we get free calls to any Sprint PCS phone, so no minutes are used when we call each other. :D

I have Cingular, I get 300 anytime, 5000 nights and weekends (free long distance, for $29........Really way to many minutes for me , but the next plan down was way to little..like 50 mins a month or something.

I use sprintpcs for my cell service.
We have two cells, one for me, one for my son with unlimited free mobile to mobile. 2000 anytime minutes to share between the two of us for 85.00 per month (free nationwide long distance). We use close to that amount of minutes every month.

AT & T Wireless
$29.99/month
250 peak minutes
2000 night/weekend minutes

I have since end of June 2002, and haven't gone over my plan, except when I learned how to text msg. I don't do that anymore, even tho it's only 10 cents per msg.

I use it whenever I ned to call my mom, she's long distance from home, and it saves on that bill- at least $10/month.

I have Nextel! The Nationwide Direct Connect is a new plus ~ it was nice to travel and be able to still have that feature! It will really be awesome this summer when you can direct connect anyone/anywhere!!

300 min / 300 bonus min
2000 night & weekend min
unlimited direct connect
free nationwide long distance
call waiting / call forwarding
caller id
$49.99 / month

I recently changed from Cingular to T-Mobil. My Star Tek phone had gotten where it would not ring - just vibrate. So, I would have had to sign up for 2 years to get another free phone. The free phone would not have been a flip phone. But, the main reason I changed to T-Mobil was because it is GSM and I make trips to Europe where that is the type of service they have.
Features: 300 anytime/anywhere minutes, unlimited weekend minutes, free long distance, 300 text messages, and some kind of internet service which I don't use much. The international long distance is $0.99 per minute. I'm going to Europe this summer. I'll let you know how well it works and how expensive it gets. As far as the quality of the voice is concerned, it is much better than I got with Cingular. I don't know if that is because it is GSM or because the phone (Samsung) is better than the Star Tek was. So far, I also haven't had as many "missed" calls with T-Mobil. (Well, in fact, so far, I've had zero missed calls.)

I use Verizon Wireless, I pay 19.95 for 100 minutes a month. That is plenty for me, I don't use my phone a lot, have it mostly for emergencies. I hate talking on the phone.

Sprint PCS... 500 anytime minutes, unlimited nights & weekends, nationwide long distance, unlimited Sprint to Sprint calling. I use pretty much all the 500 minutes and a bunch of the night & weekend minutes and Sprint to Sprint calling.

Cingular- famous for the "Roll Over!" minutes. my mother and I am on the 39.99 a month "family plan" . I am happy with the service and the phone itself. I used to have Verizon, but left them after they gave me a hard time about upgrading my phone.
