Who is the Better Star Trek Captain... Why do you think He/she is a better Captain?

With the new Star Trek movie comming out next weekend. I have a question for all Die Hard Trekkies . Who do you think is the better Star Trek Captain Kirk, Picard, Sisko, or Janeway? What is your Opinion to support your Vote?

I chose Picard because I think he's a leader who also listens to his senior staff well. Ben did too, and DS9 is a favorite of mine.

You left Capt. Jonathan Archer off your list. And by the way, it's Trekker....

I gotta vote for Picard (there's a typo in the poll). I love the thinking man's cerebral captain, and Patrick Stewart is incredible playing him.

I love Kirk and the original for the camp and fun. And he always gets the girl. Every girl.

But if I were on the Enterprise, I'd want Piccard in charge.

Have to go with the original. Kirk was quirky but he was a 'playa' too. Picard comes in as a very close second.

I'm old school so I voted for Kirk, but I want to say a work for DS9 and Sisko, too. DS9 grew into a really good show, and Sisko's evolution was a big reason why. The guy was a tough leader, a diplomat, a family man and basically the mayor of a city.

very tough call, Kirk is classic, Piccard had class....I never thought Sisko was all that great and when DS9 started I was not impressed but ended up loving that show by the time it ended.

Whilst the early Star Trek was part of my childhood I've went with the household vote of Jean Luc

this thread got me to have star trek on the brain, so while I was out earlier and ended up picking Season 1 on blu ray...all I can say is blu ray really needs to come down in price

I'll be in the minority here and say that I LOVED Captain Janeway. I felt really ripped off when Voyager finally made it home and they didn't allow the viewers to see the actual homecoming.

I have to go with James T. Kirk. I only watched the original, and was obsessed with it as a kid. His staccato manner of speaking was so commanding! (LOL)
