There are many famous "voices" that we hear at Disney parks.

But some are famous for other projects outside of the attractions.

Tex Ritter voices Big ("Blood on the Saddle") Al in
Country Bears.
Tex was the father of the late John Ritter (Three's
Company, et al) and Tex actually wrote and recorded
(even before the Country Bears were created) the song
"Blood on the Saddle." Tex died many years ago.

Thurl Ravenscroft voices Buff the Buffalo on the wall
in Country Bears.
Mr. Ravenscroft is best-remembered as the voice of
Tony the Tiger of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes
commercials.

Paul Frees, Thurl Ravenscroft, Eleanor Audley, are the
main voices in HM.
Mr. Frees, the "Ghost Host" in HM also voiced Ludwig
on Drake (amoung others) for Disney and was the
long-time voice of the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

Ms. Audley was also the voice of Cinderella's
Stepmother and the voice of the evil Maleficent in
"Sleeping Beauty". She is the voice of the "head"
inside the crystal ball (Madame Leota) in the Haunted
Mansion attraction.

Paul Frees, and Thurl Ravenscroft are the main voices
in Pirates.

Thurl Ravenscroft voices Fritz, the German-accented
macaw in Tiki Room.
Mr. Frees, Mr.Ravenscroft and Ms. Audley are no longer
with us.

Ernie Newton voices Pierre, the French-accented macaw
in Tiki Room.
Fulton Burley voices Micheal, the Irish-accented macaw
in Tiki Room.
And I don't have any information about these two
fellows,

but Wally Boag who voiced Jose the Spanish-accented
"MC" macaw in the Tiki Room, is still with us at the age of 87.

don't forget that Mr. Ravenscroft is also the famous voice behind "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!"

Thanks Robo - I knew about most of the voices you mentioned except for Tex Ritter singing "Blood on the Saddle" -- well that is my FAVORITE Country Bear song -- which can lead to strange looks when you sing it out loud!

Wally Boag was the long-time star at the Golden Horseshoe Review at Disneyland, and according to IMDB was an influence on the young Steve Martin when he was a CM at DL. Fulton Burley was also a performer in the Golden Horseshoe Review, the "Irish tenor".

That was the original version of the show, "Tropical Serenade".

In the new version, "Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management", Pierre is voiced by the late Jerry Orbach (sounding very much like Lumiere, the voice he provided in "Beauty & the Beast"). Gilbert Godfried reprises his role as Iago the parrot from "Aladdin". The role of Zazu in the attraction is performed by voiceover actor Michael Gough (not to be confused with the veteran British character actor of the same name), taking over from Rowan Atkinson ("Mr Bean", "Black Adder") who originated the role in the animated feature film "The Lion King".

Here's another: The voice of the Safety Spiel at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is Dallas "Dal" McKinnon. Mr. McKinnon is also the voice of Benjamin Franklin in "The American Adventure" in Epcot, but is best known for providing the voices of cartoon characters Archie Andrews and Gumby.

Steve Martin also mentions this (as well as other experiences as a DL CM) in his new book "Born Standing Up."

And the Tiki Bird agents who do the "preshow" (William and Morris) are voiced by Don Rickles and the late Phil Hartman.

I enjoy hearing Jack Wagner announcing on the Monorail "Please stand clear of the doors; por favor manténganse alejado de las puertas."

Hearing that always make me smile:goodvibes

Wow Mr. Bean does the voice of zazu?
He did in the feature film "The Lion King", but not in the attraction.

If you're a fan of Rowan Atkinson, I highly recommend his earlier work -- especially the "Black Adder" TV series (The Black Adder, Blackadder II, Blackadder the Third, and Blackadder Goes Forth).
