Who is more excited Parents or Kids?

MeMeME. I do all the planing and make all the reservations. The night before we leave DH starts to get excited and the kids once we get there. Only 66 more days till DH and I go with no kids for our 15 anniversary trip.:cool1: Lots of golf and lots of relaxing!

It's funny to see what kids are most excited about when going to Disney like I said mine likes the Hot Tubs and playground. GO FIGURE!

DEFINITELY ME. DH really doesn't care one way or the other. He has fun when we get there but he's not a huge fan like me. 2 DS's are excited but aren't into the planning and reading trip reports, etc. So definitely no one in the family is as excited as I am at this point. We are down to 40 days! :woohoo:

My DD gets all excited over all the food she thinks she'll eat. That's what she thinks Disney is, a large food place with mickey.

It's me!! My kids think I'm overly obsessed esp my DS13. They start to get excited when we're like 2-3 days away.

It would have to be me in our family, followed by DS who is 10 and will be making his third trip to the world and then DW who says she can't even think about it until we are about 5 days away or she will just go nuts with worry over evrything that has to be done before we leave. I love the planning and anticipation of it all. we only get to take a "big" vacation every couple of years and it's always to the World. My DW Thinks i am a little obssed with the DIS and the podcasts and the planning but i just love it i guess i just have never grown up!!!!!

well my parents love disney and are very excited but i have been disney on the computer looking at are hotel etc. every night im doing somthing disney like joining DISers so im excited 14 more days!!!!! wilderness Lodge here we come!:cool1:

We leave tomorrow...tonight the children are definitley more excited...I keep hearing the patter of feet between bedrooms!!!! (I'm just stressed....have we got everything...??!!)

Definitely the adults! I probably get the most excited, followed closely by my wife. My two sons Hunter (6 yrs) and Connor (5 yrs) get pretty excited too though. My wife makes them each a paper chain that represents how many days are left until we leave. Each day they remove a link of the chain. Down to 20 links (days) left.... Woo Hoo!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay::yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

you sound like my mom im sure the night before she will be doing the same actually for about a week now she keeps asking my dad and i do you have everything for Disney? and we have 14 days to go!!!:rotfl:

Hard to tell as my neices don't live with me but I'd still say it's me that is most excited. The oldest DN-15 mentions it alot more then DN-13 and the times i've tried getting them involved with the Planning the just weren't interested in that part. :confused3 Makes it kind of a bummer as I wanted to see the excitement more.

Oh, fun thread.

I would say ME followed very closely by my dh. The kids are starting to get excited since we have seen all the planning videos a dozen times and they know what to expect. :cool1:

As you can see from my siggy, we still have 9 months to go, but I am very excited for my first cruise. I am now officially addicted to the DIS. We are doing a 7 day Western followed by 7 days at the parks. My kids are 9 and 6 and the last time they were there they were 2 and 5, so they don't remember much. But we were at DL last summer, so they are aware of all things disney.

At our house it's me, but I'm the planner and have been doing alot of studying. My son(5) is super excited also. He loves watching the planning dvd. We've also had to hide the suitcases from him as he keeps trying to pack. We're getting closer but it's still too early to pack. We go Sept. 17-23. DH and I have never been on a plane. I guess we'll experience our first time right along side the kids! DH isn't into the trip yet. He says once we land in FL then he'll be excited. DD will be 2 weeks short of 3 when we are there and she's starting to get excited. She's becoming a big fan of the princesses.

I would say us parents only because the kids don't know that we are going!! :goodvibes It's a surprise trip for them in March. Actually it is also going to be for my youngest ds's 2nd birthday while we are there as well!

I've been telling the youngest DS about the trip only because he can't talk! :rotfl: So I know he won't spill the beans! :rotfl: and when DH isn't home I need SOMEONE to talk to about it!

Only 219 days to go! :woohoo: :hourglass

It is more exciting for me right now because my dd's 13 & 11 don't know about the trip. I booked it back in April and I haven't told them yet. It is driving me crazy. I can't wait to go and these boards don't help :rotfl2:
The more I read the more excited I get. I have to talk to some one about this trip. My dh wants me to keep it a secrect until we pick the girls up from school on the 14th and then tell them. There is NO way I can do that:banana: I am doing my best!! It doesn't help that I subscribe to all these threads and the emails come in. I have to make it to the computer before the dd's do!! :rotfl:

Fun question!!!!
I am definitely the most excited in the family. My DD would be next even though she's never been. MY DW is excited to just be going on vacation.
My DD (3 1/2) always asks "can we talk about DW" when we put her to bed just after tucking her in and reading a book. She's always telling us who she's going to hug.
I am going to ball when I see her face when she meets half of the characters.

I don't have kids but I know I'm just as excited as any kid! :cool1:

Going to DW makes any adult act as if they're 10 all over again!

This would have been a good poll! I gotta say parents. I know I am way more excited than the kids. They get excited once we leave/get there, but still, I take the cake!!!;)
