Watching reports how airports are slammed with people and highways jammed with cars for the holiday weekend. I say "No thanks, there's no place I'd rather be than right here in my home." Traveling is fun, but there's an element of hassle involved even in the best of circumstances. I take extra time to be grateful for the comfort of my own home in times like these. If I'm honest, I might even gloat a little.

If you are traveling, stay safe and I hope you get to your destination....and back!

Very happy! I've only ever traveled once for Thanksgiving and it involved a car and an 8 hour road trip that turned into 10 hours. Never again.

My husband just got back from Vegas last night (well really early this morning about 1:30 or so am) he was there Monday and Tuesday for work and of course the flight was expensive having been bought like Thursday or Friday. He said our home airport was quiet on his mid-day flight on Monday though.

He did say that the flight was delayed a little bit and then again with SWA holding off on starting the boarding process until some connecting passengers could make their way there. It's often enough that you'll land in Terminal B and be flying out of Terminal C (or vice versa) and it's a hike to get between the two. They were doing it also for the flight next to his gate. I assume that this week they are trying to be extra careful to get people on through.

Sister-in-law's boyfriend's family is driving from Chicago today down to here (about 8 hour drive) but I'm not sure how long they will stay.

We drive from Buffalo to Baltimore every Thanksgiving, it takes about 6 hours, doesn't bother me at all. Lately we have been leaving early Thanksgiving morning to get there, not much traffic.

I'm certainly glad to not be traveling at this time of the year. Marie and I will be driving to Vince's tomorrow, about an hour away. Just Marie and me, the kids and grandkids. And then an hour home.

Wishing you a very Happy, well-deserved Thanksgiving, Ron, for you, Kitty, the twins and grandkids.

We are going to Disney Vero Beach Resort in about 2 hours until Friday and then driving home. I'm glad we have an easy drive (1.5 hours) and aren't flying anywhere!!

🙋‍♀️ Yep happy to be home this weekend! Been traveling a lot the past few months...London, Japan, France...I need to rest and so does my bank account!! 💸💸:rotfl2:

I got tix to watch Moana 2 on Saturday, then brunch with the former boss lady on Sunday. I'm happy 🥰

I wish I was home, but alas, I am not - I am in London. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, but not here. I get home on Friday though! It's gonna be a long day of travel though. Hopefullt he US leg will be realtively calm since I assume most people are travelling before the holiday and staying a little longer. It is nice here and all, but it's a family trip and that comes with challenges. It's certianly been interesting. There have been lots of beautiful and cool things to see, but I wouldn't write home about the food. 🤣 All told, I've just been gone too long.

I will say.....I love to see people traveling again after 2020 and 2021.

I'm glad I'm not going anywhere but after those two years I'm so thankful that family members can come to me again. :love:

Best time of the year to go, have been many times there that time of the year. Lower crowds (not low crowds), lower prices (not low prices), typically great weather and all the Christmas decorations, shows and everything. I wish I was going also.

Enjoy, guys!!! :woohoo:::MickeyMo::MinnieMo
