Who is going in December 2022??

DLR & DCA Dec 27-31. Did a few WDW Christmas trips, always fun. I did not renew my AP when they first started re-selling as I did not like all the planning. Went a few weeks ago to see if the magic was still there, it was, so pulled the trigger for 6 of us, tickets, flights, car, doing Airbnb. Have all the reservations except the 31st, available tomorrow. I was surprised that almost all days for the 120 day window are available. Let's see how the dining reservations go 60 days out......

I have a GCH reservation for 4 nights, Dec 6-10. I have a Dream Key that expires mid-Nov. I plan to renew, but if my park dates are no longer available through my pass by the time I can renew, is it still true that park ressies are usually available from the hotel bucket unless your pass is blocked? I have hotel and flights and would hate to learn that park reservations are gone by the time I can make them.

This has been true, hopefully it will remain that way. You need to have the reservation linked and you might need to use incognito or clear your browser cookies to get it to work.

Anyone else stalking anything and everything trying to get a glimmer of details for Christmas? I know we just got to fall but I'm just super excited. I love the wreath ears from last year so I'm hoping those are back.

I also want the hot chocolate creme brulee from Cafe Orleans. Hopefully they keep some of the same items from last year.

Me me!!! I can’t wait for all the info to be out.

We will be there 12/25-31 - we are that kind of crazy.

Near-same here! 12/26-12/31. We have been waiting years to go again. Waited through DH's cancer treatment/recovery, then never-ending covid, and we have 2 teenagers itching to get back and finally see the Star Wars additions! (Honestly DH might be more anxious to see anything Star Wars LOL!) Our oldest is a senior in high school, and I already see time running out on us for family trips. It'll be bonkers, but who cares?? We will get to see everything Christmas for the first time too! We were originally going to add on a couple of beach days, but I booked a night in club level at the Disneyland Hotel instead to cap off the trip.

You will have an amazing trip!! Christmas is so beautiful in the parks. All the memories you will make will be well worth the crowds.

How exciting! Your DH and family deserve this. I really hope it's incredible. Do you have any plans for anything in particular in the park? I hope you go to City Hall or the little stand and get a celebration pin! We will be in the LA area from 12/26 - 1/2, with 12/27 and 12/28th in Universal and the 29th through the 1st in DL/DCA, staying at PP for that portion of the trip. We'll probably bump into each other and not even know it!

Thank you! I'm already at the "only 3 and 1/2 months until Disneyland!!" phase of annoying my family. 😂 And reiterating "you ARE going to get up early" just so it's tattooed on their eyelids by the time we arrive.

I am pretty anxious for more holiday specifics to be posted, so I'm not sure what our plans will be. I was nervous about making park reservations without more info, but also nervous to wait... figure we can park hop in the afternoon. My kids have always had to be coerced into the shows (parades, nighttime things). We did the WOC dessert party like 5 or 6 years ago, but they would have whined about watching WOC without the dessert party. So I will inevitably throw money at that kind of thing again. They are really all about rides and snacks at this point, but they are teenagers, so hey - DH and I can actually do what we want some of the time and let them do their own thing!

I wonder if there will be any news announced this week regarding Christmas parties. It looks like Merriest Nites was announced last year on Sept 10. I am anxious to make plans but I want to know when party dates will be (if happening) so I can avoid those dates. I only have 2 days and I really don't want to get kicked out of Disneyland. Christmas-time late nights at Disneyland are my favorite, but I have zero interest in paying for a party.

Wow I was actually going to post this exact same comment, the fact that we have passed the date for last year's announcement I think is significant. I also think the D23 Parks panel today was soooo disappointing and they knew they had very little content so announcing the Christmas party would have been a great filler. I thought they might be "saving" it for today.

A month ago I thought the party was 90% likely to happen, I am down to 50% and it's dropping fast.

Not disappointed about that to be clear, but have been looking for the annoucment to "plan around" it like you.

We did something like this from December 14, 2012 through December 26th, 2012..it was insane!!!! My daughter literally thought we lived there then. I can't wait to hear about your trip.

Our kids are now 33 and 24. This will be the first all family vacation in 10 years. We have had a lot of the same issues you noted above including health issues, a major move and now living 2000 miles from one kid and 1000 from the other. This trip will include Son's life partner and her 3 kids, we are sooooo excited about our first family trip with the family dynamic so radically changed. We went to WDW twice when son was in High School but haven't been to DL in 20 years.

2 weeks and I can start trying to make a couple of dining reservations. Hubby would like to do an early dinner or lunch at Trader Sam's our arrival day. Lamplight is on the list and WOC Dessert.

Next week I will buy our park tickets, Passports still have not been processed but hopefully my daughter will see those in the next couple of weeks.

How is everyone's trips coming along?

I am still trying to convince my niece, (her daughters are on board!), to go Dec 6th through the 9th. I am paying for almost everything so I am hoping she will say yes this week so I can get dining reservations going! It does sound like it might be busier than what I was hoping but hey-it is still Disneyland at Christmas time!!! I would love to stay at the GC, did that the last few times, but budget is tighter now that I am on my own. Hope everyone's plans go smoothly!
