Who is going in August

Oh Jack I see you have Me and Stitch1986 listed for desert inn & suites and we're actually staying at the Ramada Maingate....could you update that please? Thanks

I'm on the July list because we're going July 27-August 7...but our Disney portion is actually in August.

So...add me for August 1-7th at the Hyatt Regency Orange County.

We're super excited!

I'm wondering about Disney dining...if I'm booking for August 1st-7th do I wait to book all at once, or do I book each day at a time? Does that make sense? If it's each day at a time then that means I can book August 1st tomorrow, right?

Called Vacation Planning today and gave her all my info for my priority seating... 60 days from tomorrow for all Aug. 1st vacationers!!!

Can't wait for the WOC Guinea Pigs to fill us in! I made 5pm reservations at WCT (for the Pixar parade.. thanks Disers!) and for the 9pm WOC "Priority Standing." I'm so glad that my mom is a good sport and I'm not attempting to do this with my husband!

60 Days!!!!:woohoo:

I need to do some serious reading...the above just scared me!

So...we're arriving on the 1st but our first Disney day will be the 2nd. That means I can call on Wednesday to book dinner for that first night?

What do you mean by gave all your info for priority seating? Sorry...just don't want to miss something. We booked through Costco and they said that priority seating would be included when we receive our package in the mail. Do you have to reserve those seats?

What is WCT? Wine Country Trattoria (sp??). Do you get a good view of the parade if you do dinner there?

What is the World of Color priority standing? I don't think we're going to do the WOC dinner package or Fantasmic dessert packages. Our kids are 4 and 7 but young...scaredy cats...and I don't know that they'd like either. Plus, I'm not sure what they'll end up doing sleep-wise and I don't want to put out that kind of money only to find out they can't do it.

Sorry to be a bother...just trying to figure it all out!

Dmom and I are going 8/10-17. Staying Double Tree for half price thanks to priceline name your own price.

Ok.. This is the first time in years that I've stayed onsite and one advantage is that they will make all of your priority seating (kinda like reservations) for you. I just told her what I wanted and she's going to make the calls for me and then email me to confirm. I'll let you know how it works when I get the email.

Yes I would call Wednesday to set my first priority seating and see if they'll let you make all of them. I can't remember what I've done in the past.

On a previous post, someone mentioned making a 5pm reservation at Wine Country Trattoria and sitting near the wall to be able to see the 5:15 Pixar parade. I'm making reservations to do that and to get the WOC priority thing. There are many threads that talk about the WOC. I would research that... but I agree with you, I wouldn't take a 4 and 7 year old either! You have to stand and it's either at 9 or 10:15 at night.

Hope that helps! Don't be scared...it's Disney...:)

So if the week I am going is still peak (Aug 24 -25) does that mean I should expect Fantasmic and WOC on those nights? I hate that there are no park hours yet or schedule for this.

Staying on site - where do I call for meal ressies? I know I have to wait until end of this month but want to have it handy :)

Also - I read that Aladdin was being extended - was that old or is it extended past the original early august date?

Thanks

Maria

Thank you, I feel better!

I feel confident in my thoughts on not doing WOC or Fantasmic. I think my husband and I would both love it, but I don't think it's something our kids would like. I'm guessing our evenings are going to be spent on some rides and then back at the hotel for a swim. Our daughter was injured in a freak accident when she was 4 and is still terrified of fireworks so avoiding them or being very far away from them in the evening is going to be our plan!

As for the priority seating reservations...that is only if you stay on site? We booked a Disney package but staying at a Good Neighbor hotel. Just making sure I shouldn't be calling for that.

Thanks for all your help!

Getting close to my 60 day mark. Is that the window for all dining reservations? Thx!

We also. Since one of my daughters is back from college now we can start getting things ready for vacation planning.

I just saw a Disney billboard yesterday up here in NorCal that the summer Nightastic goes through Aug. 29, so that would make me expect that the nighttime shows being advertised as part of the promotion would continue nightly through that date too. Looking up old calendars, I see that Disneyland was open to either 11 PM or midnight the same dates last year, but DCA did close earlier. I would guess that WOC demand should keep DCA open later this year. It is frustrating not to have those hours up though, isn't it!

Aladdin has been extended "indefinitely", as in they have announced that it is not closing yet after all and they have not announced a new date for when it might close. Most people commenting on various message boards and fan sites that I have read speculate that Aladdin will stay open through at least the rest of this year but if or how DCA construction might affect it's schedule isn't clear yet.

Hmmm...guess I should add my dates too. Me, DBF, DSis and DSis's BF will be staying at HoJo's August 2-3 :goodvibes
