Who is going for Mardi Gras 2009?

This is our second trip for Mardi Gras. Can't wait to get back to WDW! We are also leaving Friday afternoon and planning on a stop in Tallahassee for the night. We will see y'all there!

I'll be here too, Feb. 21-28 at the POFQ. When we planned it, we didn't realize it was MG, we just wanted to avoid President's Day weekend.

So it's a fun surprise! I'll "see" you all there! (ie, we'll walk by each other and not realize we read each other's posts!)

We're not from Louisiana, but DS 10 and I will be there too 2/19-2/26. His birthday is 2/25. I didn't even realize it was Mardi Gras until I looked the the crowd level thing on touringplans.com. I'm hoping it will not be as crowded as they predict. Nice to know there will be so many DIS folks there though!

Tallahassee is about 4 hours from Disney and about 6 hours from New Orleans where I live. It is close, but not quite halfway. We did stop at the same place last time on the way home and it did make the trip back more manageable.

We will be there 20-27 at POR. This is our first on-site trip, and looking forward to it!! Good to know about the Mardi Gras crowds...

I can't believe it's so soon... we should start packing!!

We are travelling with a DS (9) DD(7) and DS (.5). It's all gonna be good though. It's my kids first time and I can't wait to see there faces when we arrive.

We'll have to compare notes when we get back!! We have a very similar family: DS (8), DD (7), and DS (5). It is also our first time and I agree that the kids faces will be priceless!!

I was worried about rides that seat 2X2 (who sits alone?) but my GF with her 4 kids said most rides seat more... she said it's mostly thrill rides like SpcM, EE, or SlshM that seat in smaller numbers, and DS5 will not ride most of those (due to height).

we celebrate mardi gras like ya'll!!! my dd is out the whole week so we are headed to pop! i think we will have a good week with the crowds because of how is falling this yr. yes, we always bring our beads to give to the characters. don't forget your window clings too. i got some @ our local party store and we're going to have our mini mardi gras tree in the window.

We'll be there Feb. 22nd - March 1st. My DH grew up in LA, but is now an Ohio boy. We'll be looking for some beignets that week!

Any where close to get ashes on Wed? I feel guilty that we'll miss church.
