who is fb savvy?

Ok, when I first got on fb, just filled in the info on my profile without really understanding everything I was doing. So I put my high school info in.

High school was not the best 4 years of my life and I have never looked back since graduating 20 + years ago. But now I'm getting friend requests from all these old classmates.

I realized that my name & picture is part of the list of who went to that school, and specifically in the year graduated. Ya know, you can search for old hs friends who graduated in blank year. Or just scroll through and see everyone from your class who is on fb and affiliated with the school.

I took hs off my education list in the info section of my profile, but I'm still showing up on the main list. I've looked at privacy settings, network settings, and the help section, but can't figure out how to get myself off of there.


Any ideas? TIA!

I'm not 100% sure...but try going into your privacy settings. Click on profile...go down to education info and change it to only you can view it. I don't know if it will only take the school out of your profile for others to view, but I would think it would also take you out of the class lineup. You can also just not except their friend invitations.


ETA: You can also try going into your privacy settings. Click on search....go down to search visibility, uncheck everyone of facebook.
