When we drive up. Not sure how this is going to go over because last time we surprised them with Disney they cried and were mad at me We were supposed to go to Disneyland on our return trip for a couple days but couldn't.

We booked a RCCL cruise to Hawaii for September 2015. When 7 months bookings open, I hope to have a count down to Aulani!

We have a Celebrity cruise from Vancouver to Honolulu for this coming September, so we'll miss you by just one year. Its 60 days until we board the Solstice and 72 days before we check into Aulani.

Too bad for the miss!! maybe you will like it so much and join us on the RCCL cruise next year!. No, this will be our first stay at Aulani, and that stay will mean we will have stayed in all DVC resorts!

No, we won't be able to join you on the Royal Caribbean cruise, bobbiwoz. In September 2015 we are committed to sailing on the Disney Magic for a westbound transatlantic out of Barcelona. We still have to stay at BCV and VB before we can claim a clean sweep of all DVC resorts. I'm sure you'll have a great time at Aulani; in my opinion, its the best of the bunch.

After 18.5 hours we arrive at 6:30 last night. Aulani is AMAZING. Our children were able to enjoy the lazy river, water slide and pool until we drug them out as we were beyond exhausted. Hubby and I enjoyed some delicious drinks while they swam. We went to the character breakfast this morning and thought the food was wonderful. We had 7:30 reservations so it was not very crowded. It was starting to get packed when we left. I was up early and walked around the resort to send pictures to my mom. There were people reserving pool chairs at 6:30 and the pool didn't open until 8. Did some serious shopping at the gift shop after breakfast. I was surprised that the shop was as small as it was for as large as the resort is. Family just went down to pool and I finished organizing room and heading down now.

We were able to get 10 Days in a 1BR-Island Garden View, at the 7-month mark.
I missed out on buying 1st-Class air by 4 days. 4 Days before I could book DVC, the US Airways price on their non-refundable 1st Class went from $1600 to $2600 pp/rt. We booked coach at about $1000 pp/rt.
We are planning to rent a car for our 10 day stay, but I've seen lots of mixed reviews. Any advice??

We will be there on Jan 4 and 5 I think. Check in Sunday. We are renting a car for the one day to get from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport the next day. If u are Dvc parking is free so I figured it was about the same price as getting a cab. If u plan to do anything, from what I understand, u will need a car.

10 days, 10 days, 10 days until we head to DL…then to Aulani in 13 days!! I breezed thru TJ MAXX today looking for something else and while in line found some Sharper Image brand packing cubes - in sets of 3 (sm, med & lg) for only $16.99. I already have several sets of them from eBags.com in burnt orange and green but had been thinking about ordering some more - but they're $30 a set so I'd been on the fence about it - but so I was super psyched to find these. I picked up 2 more sets (in like a gunmetal gray) but am considering getting 1 more set - that way we can be totally color coordinated with different colors for each of us. I think I actually like the material my eBags ones are made from BETTER but for the price these will most certainly do!! These things are real lifesavers for my packing!! I'm ready to start packing for this trip NOW!!

Aulani was beyond amazing. I can't even truly describe it. Unfortunately we were only there for 2 days. My children loved every minute. Had I been able to book a 1 bedroom we would have stayed.

We flew from MDT-PHL-PHX-HNL. We left our house at 6am and arrived at Aulani at 6:30 Hawaiian time so that was 12:30am PA time.

Can I be honest, we are now in a villa at the Marriott Club and we are disappointed. It's nice but Aulani blew us away. We are HUGE Disney fans, go multiple times a year but stay at the Hilton Bonnet Creek (hotel points) and Aulani is definitely the best hotel we have ever stayed. Even hubby said so and he wasn't wild about staying there.
