Who here uses CM's SBC+ for digital scrapping?

I have finished a couple of pages now and am wondering how I should be saving them. They are now saved in SB. Should I be saving them in a different file on my computer?
I would love to share my pages, but I can't figure out how to get them into Photobucket.

Personally, I don't save them anywhere else other than my EHD since they are such large files. Others may do differently

Here's how you save a page to share. When you're done, save your page. Trim down the elements that go way outside of the page boundaries (like a ribbon that you moved to use only a part of). Then

• Go to <home> <save pages> <save pages as> (if you have not saved your page by this time it will prompt you do to do it here).
• Under <output> make sure it is .jpeg (the default)
• Name your page under <start file names with>
• Select <current page> under <page range>. If you want to save more than one page, click <view selected> and select the pages from the list. Then make sure to click <selected pages>
• If you're uploading to SmugMug or Photobucket, choose <screen (72 dpi)>.
• If you're going to upload to say Scrapmatters, choose <best (300 dpi)> and you'll need to resize the image in Paint to 19%.
• Keep <quality> on <best>, then hit enter.

It will ask you where you want to save the image. Select a file where you will know you can find it later, then hit enter.

Let me know if you have problems with this.

Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce myself, thank you all for the fabulous and extremely helpful information that I have discovered on this thread and also to ask a quick question.

As far as introductions, I am a traditional scrapbooker of about 5 years who has recently been sucked into the highly addictive and enjoyable world of digital scrapbooking. SBC+ is my software of choice and I am having a ball learning all of the wonderful capabilities now at my fingertips. I just discovered this forum (and even more importantly this thread) a few weeks ago and I am so excited to find something that combines two of my biggest passions, scrapbooking and Disney! So thank you very much to all of you who have contributed to (and will hopefully continue to do so) to this thread.

And now on to my question: Jessica, I have been looking back through your blog (and have discovered some great kits and elements along the way so thanks for that) and I absolutely love your illuminations layout with the mickey head in the center but when I tried the link for the template it says it is expired. Would you consider posting it again? I would be forever grateful!

Which level of shadow should I be using?

I don't know about the photobucket thing.

I use the heavy or light shadows a lot. I like them both. I also just started using the custom shadow feature, too. I think Christy posted some directions here about how she does hers. That's where I started and then I tweak it to get a look that I like. Shadowing is a very personal preference. I tend to shadow everything (except text that should look like it is written right on the page), but not everyone does that.

I have scoured and "searched". I found the threads pertaining to fonts, and they all say, once the font is installed on the computer that SBC will pull it in. Well No dice. Freebie download, shows up in control panel under fonts, Vista machine. I'll take any and all advice.

1) Is is a true type font? SBC+ only uses true type fonts.

2) Did you close and reopen SBC+ after installing the font?

Hi Jennifer. Thanks for the quick reply!!! That could explain it, cuz it's "open type" But, just to confuse me more, ALL of my fonts say open type, except 2 I'll have to play more when I get home this afternoon!!!!!!

I just checked and my SBC+ displays both Open Type and True Type fonts. Are you sure you installed the font, not just downloaded it? Is the font available in other programs like Word or Excel? That would be one way to see if it is installed. Keep trying! It should work!

Yup, it's in Word. That's the first thing I did. I dunno, gonna try another file and see.

Well, just got off the phone with CMC Customer Service. They say it has to be ttf files. I sure seem to have a lot of otf files that are in there Alas, I downloaded a ttf, and SBC did pull it in. It's only a caps file, though, so I will keep looking for one that has upper and lower, and maybe even numeric. Oh, BTW, this is for the Walt font. If anyone has the ttf file for this, would you mind pm'ing it to me? Thanks for all the help, I learn every time I use the program!!!!

I'm having trouble finding my pictures in Memory Manager when I'm using SBC+. I can "share" my pictures when I'm in Memory Manager, but when I try to "get photos" when I'm using SBC+ I can't figure out where to look for them. I've had the same problem trying to upload pictures, you know when you "browse" from a website and find a picture in a certain folder? I can't find the right folder. I can find a creative memories folder, and my "vault" folder, but my pictures never seem to be there. If I've put the pictures in picasa or some other place, I can find them- just not when I've put them in Memory Manager.

It feels like I must be missing something obvious. Any tips? I love SBC+ but Memory Manager has yet to win me over.
