Never did- loved Christmas being a surprise!! My friend Shelley was an unwrapper though!! She could unwrap and wrap a gift like it had never been touched- I was (and still am) in awe!

I always did as a child, and now being grown, I have to admit, that I still do "sometimes". There's just something that happens to me when I know there's a surprise gift somewhere hiding in the house. Sometimes it overtakes me and I "need" to look and snoop and search high and low for it.

Never did & neither did our kids. It really wasn't a matter of "surprise" it was simply unthinkable to invade my parents' private spaces. It was the same with DS.

We had a little trouble with DD getting into our things, but not around her birthday or Christmas. The issue was resolved before either rolled around. I've never hesitated to put things in my closet, unwrapped, just in a plastic bag.

We always put larger items in the basement, just because of storage. They both had plenty of opportunity to snoop - they just didn't.

We hid presents in the suitcases if they fit. We also had a hardware store that after you picked out the toy - they would wrap, tag and store them in a back room. We would go up on the 24th late and pick them up. Very nice.

I never went to my parent's private places and that is dead wrong. Attics, garages, car trunks were all fair game.

I don't do it now as an adult. But when I was younger and my parenst were out of the house I would carefully unwrap part of my x-mas presents under the tree and carefully tape th epapaer back to the way it was.

I don't snoop, but that is only because I am the one buying all the gifts anyway! :p

I am a snooper
DH had 2 boxes shipped home from WDW. He said he wont open them to wrap till Christmas Eve! (smart man)

I never did. When I was little and believed in Santa, my mom would hide the presents in the attic where I couldn't find them. As soon as my sister and I stopped believing, she would just put them in her closets and anywhere else we could easily find them but I would never look. I would usually be tempted, but I would stop myself because I like being surprised on Christmas!

No! If you find it in this house, it goes back.....

I snoop, I can't seem to help myself. I always swear that this year I'm not going to look, but by christmas eve I know what's in 70% of the boxes.....I too am an unwrapper, I was taught the fine art by my brother when I was in elementary school. He has this unique ability to tell exactly what's in a box with one shake...it's truly amazing

I was a so bad at snooping when I was a kid that sometimes I would even upwrap my presents and wrap them back once I saw what it was. :o Now I like the surprise. :p

:o I wouldn't unwrap, but I'm not above a quick glimpse when I am in the vicinity for a legit reason:o

never did and never will. takes all the fun out if you snoop.

I have snooped since I was around 11. I am a master at pulling the tape off at the end of the box, sliding the box out of the wrap, checking out the gift, sliding it back in and reattaching the same tape with out anyone being able to tell.;)

DH never snoops but can shake a box and tell you what is inside - down to the color! I don't know how he does it. I keep all of his presents at my parents house until the day before or morning of so I know he isn't snooping. DS13 is starting to get a lot like his dad.

As a kid, not only did I snoop and find gifts, I would carefully unwrap them and if I liked what my younger sister was getting better than my own gift (usually record albums and such) then I would either switch the tags or the wrappings and get the one I really wanted. One year my mom bought me a microscope and I used it several times before she even wrapped it! I was so bad! When I first got married I would snoop. My husband was on to me and locked up everything with this elaborate system. I don't look for my gifts anymore, I like to be surprised!
