Happy Saturday everybody! :)

Donna: Thanks for providing the lovely buffet! Unfortunately, I will never be able to go there, considereing I might hyperventilate and faint. (Characters = bad.) I was wondering those questions myself. I looked up Fantasia  and saw she has been posting recently on other threads/boards. I wonder what happened. ??

Lyzziesmom: Have fun at the mall!! hoot!

DznyFan: I'm excited about the tattoo :) I don't have any (yet.) What do you have? My husband wants to get one on his back, I'm not sure what yet though.

Hi Nicole! We both pretty much missed the sing-a-long but thats ok

DH & I are going to Circuit City today to look at digital cameras. Does anybody have any suggestions on any? We want one that isn't too fancy (ie expensive) but takes nice pictures for everyday use. I want to get one for our trip so I can take lots of pics for my cliqueless friends!! (BTW, What ever happened to having a picture in our siggy? I want one.)

41 days!!

I did the stupidest thing earlier!!! I saw a Ding for my flight from MCO to HOU and cancelled my flight to try to get the Ding fare..... well it was for flights ending Sept 30 not Oct 2!!! :furious: I didn't read! I quickly rebooked my return flight, thankfully I got the same price I payed before. I am so happy everything is fixed now. The morale of the story is READ THE FINE PRINT!!!

Hi all!! Today has been a crazy day. Hope to be able to catch up tommorrow night!

Donna---everything went fine last night and thankfully only had to do the downstairs! :)

Congrats 2x2s on 500!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: party:

Donna - good questions - as far as cliquiness, I don't feel as though we're cliquey - as in that we don't ignore 'new' posters in this thread... no offense to the DIS at all, but I've seen what seems to be a fair share of nastiness and cliquiness here. Personally, as far as this thread goes, I've found I really like everybody who is participating with us. And I don't mean that to sound cliqueish.

Nicole - thank goodness you didn't lose your original flight!!

keishashadow - personally, I know my DH and will have no problem going to character meals when it's just us. I'd even do it solo!!

TTFN, all! have a great day! :wave2:

I love hearing about people's tattoos. I am totally chicken and can't imagine getting one.

Does anyone else watch Miami Ink? I love that show and those people are true artists. Blake has now decided that if he ever gets one it has to be from there. I know if he ever goes anywhere near there for work he is coming home with one. It is too funny when we watch it there are always commercials for a tattoo place near here. The problem is their tattoos that they show look sooo bad when you compare them to the ones shown on Miami Ink. I wonder how much business they get??

I have two tattoos - I have a bright green day gecko on my right ankle - he's about 4 inches long and looks like he's crawling up my leg. He's very well shaded and even has a little shadow. My other is Tigger - he has a 'hundred acre wood' background that looks like a watercolor - right out of the books! I had an artist who is incredible.

Dznyfan---I had a friend who had something similiar but it was a lizard and it started at her hip and looked like it was crawling toward the middle of her back.

I got a tatoo on a Sunday back when I was hmmm 22? :) It is a butterfly and only visible partially during the summer on the lower part of my stomach. I had a friend get two jumping dolphins on her stomach (also early 20's) and the woman doing said "Just so you know those will look like whales when you get pregnant"! I love my tatoo although I often forget it's even there!! They are addictive (I got my re-touched instead of getting another one). :rotfl:

No poop again today only (excuse if this is TMI, only skids, so he's trying not to poop in his pants...can we call that progress?! )

Pixie---Late congrats on passing your nursing exam, I'm jealous! :goodvibes

Donna---thanks for the breakfast and go school shopping now or it will all be picked over!! :)

Hi to all my cliqueless friends hope your Saturday was better than mine!! :teeth:

donnaleah - we're trying CP for dinner for the 1st time in Oct., usually start out w/Chef Mickey's. How is it, any food rec.? My youngest DS is getting older but, hope he never loses the spirit. Are there older boys @ this char. meal too...someone told me it's mostly toddlers & their families:confused3 .
I'm sorry, I have never been to CP!! I just live vicariously through the Dis and Google!! I have a DS7 and we have done Donalds Breakfastaurus at AK. It was pretty cute for a boy. If your DS is in the spirit I would say go for it!! Don't grown adults do CP by themselves?

Ashley= We have a Canon Powershot A80. We have had it for a couple of years so it's probably obselete!! DH has a Canon Rebel that he's only had for a few months, but that one was a little pricey. Other than that info I'm camera stupid!!

Nicole=That was close on the flight change. Thank goodness you got it fixed!!

I just saw this. I thought grown-ups did CP by themselves!!!

Hi, Angela I think we were posting at the same time. I did grocery shopping and never made it school supply shopping. I had better quit putting procrastinating...I'm good at that!!

Michele=I don't have any tatoos. Sounds too painful to me!!

We were, as soon I pressed post there yours was!! :) Be prepared for all the glue to be gone!! :lmao: Is it November yet? I'm so ready for my DisneyWorld vacation.....(sigh)

Does it still work if you say "Calgon take me away?" :moped:

Well, we are off to the kid's club at Michael's and then to the mall. Toot toot! (that's the train whistle at the mall)

Lizzysmom---alright you're officially a more motivated mom than me, I always think ok I need to take Connor to Michael's for the Saturday craft thing and it never happens (of course he dosen't know any better) I did go there today though but had to leave because my boys were running wild!!

2xcited/YM---what up? I saw you all posting last night but my eyes were too heavy to type. CCR? :scared1: Check out the new and improved John Fogerty on The Wiggles DVD "Santas Rockin" (is there such a thing as too much Botox?!).

I just got back last Saturday!! We had such a terrific time this year; little rain and crowds were manageable. I would love to be able to go in the late fall or during Christmas!! Before DS we used to go in early May, that was nice too!! :cloud9:

Hello cliqueless :teeth:

Everyones saturday sounds so much more productive than mine. DH and I decided to veg all day!!!! I can't remeber the last time we did that but it sure did feel good.

This morning I could not get my internet up and running :badpc: Then all the sudden magically here it is. I don't think I could go a whole saturday without the DIS.

It was soo hot here today. I was actually too hot to even go to the pool or beach. I think I would have melted away.

I love it when I get a long post almost done with all my quotes and the connection goes!!! :badpc:
Vegging out sounds good. Staying inside in the AC is a GOOD idea when it's so hot out!! :sunny:

I've got pizza in the oven. That's my cooking for today, no restaurants for me this weekend I guess!! :furious:

Nah, I'm not really that motivated... I had to go there anyway to shop! We picked up a bunch of things for the new house: some wooden crates for the mudroom to keep our shoes etc. in (since the house has no coat closet), some foam stamps for the walls in the girls room, and I even found a Tinkerbell nightlight on clearance! We actually used to go to the kid's club there every week and sometimes they'd even let us do it for free because we were there so much, but that was when we lived almost across the street, and it was only me & Lyzzie so it was much easier then.

Keishashadow: We love the CP! I haven't been for breakfast, only once for dinner and I honestly can't remember what we even had - except the key lime pie, it was soooo good I had 2 pieces! - but the place is gorgeous and it's just so much fun. I've seen lots of people at character meals with older kids/no kids... just go and enjoy yourself and who gives a hoot what anyone else does or thinks!

April: tattoos huh? You wild woman, you! I'll tell you, yes they hurt, but not for very long and it's bearable. I've had mine for a long time and I still like them, when I even remember they are there! When I got the one on my calf, the first time I wore shorts after getting it, I remember being in the drugstore and this ancient lady was next to me with a little girl, and the lady was talking to me real nice for a while, and then she saw my tattoo and pulled the girl close to her and slowly backed away, her eyes just kept getting bigger. It was the weirdest thing, because I look SO non-threatening! :confused3

I have a HP Photosmart digital camera and I love love love it! It has a bunch of features but very few buttons, because mostly everything is controlled through on-screen menus. It's very easy to use and takes decent pictures. The only thing I don't like is that it takes horrible night pictures, and also if I turn the flash off the pictures often come out blurry. But I suppose you get what you pay for, and for under $150 (about 2 years ago) it's far and away the best one for me. I'd actually like to get a new one, but I don't really need one. It's just the coolness factor of some of the new ones gets to me.

We usually run around like maniacs on Saturday, so we can have our traditional "Lazy Sunday" where we not only veg out all day at home, but we all have a pajama day as well. My mom can't stand it when she comes over and we are all in our jammies, but we just love it.

Well, it's official: I am an old fart. We went on a whopping TWO rides at the county fair and on the second one, I nearly hurled. I always joke with Lyzzie when we are on rides, I'll yell, "I'm gonna throw uuuuuuuuuuupp!!!!" but this time, I meant it. I must have really been looking green, because my dad (who drove us there so they could help out with Emma) stopped on the way home to buy me a 44-oz cup of water at the gas station! It kind of stinks, because I love rides, the scarier the better... but the stupid tilt-a-whirl is now too much for my sorry old self.

Rats...I just lost my nice long post...with nice polite chit-chat to the whole group... :teeth:  :rolleyes1

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. :thumbsup2

We went to the lake today and I'm so pooped that I'm heading to bed. No singing for me tonight. :rolleyes1 Well maybe one night night song...DS is having touble falling asleep.

Baby mine, don't you cry
Baby mine, dry your eyes
Rest your head close to my heart
Never to part, baby of mine

Little one when you play
Don't you mind what you say
Let those eyes sparkle and shine
Never a tear, baby of mine

If they knew sweet little you
They'd end up loving you too
All those same people who scold you
What they'd give just for
The right to hold you

From your head to your toes
You're not much, goodness knows
But you're so precious to me
Cute as can be, baby of mine

Testing testing 1..2...

check.......check.....

am I on?? Yes???

Welllllll, helloooooo my cliquey (not) friends.....(not cliquey, not not friends :teeth: )

How are you all this wonderful Saturday night??

No, I have not been drinking....remember last week when I did have one teensy tinsy glass and I was a stick in the mud?? Remember, huh??

Well, you're in luck....... I AM NOT DRINKING----SO WATCH OUT!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Miss Donna---golly, can't a girlie get her beauty sleep around here?? What was all the yelling and nagging this morning about breakfast???
J/K-----I was at work early and didn't have time--so sorry. It looked yummy, though. I may have to go back for a midnight snacky poo.

Heeeelp---I am having a terrible time thinking of a place to recommend for DznyFan and her family for lunch when they come through. I was a google mad woman a bit ago, but can't seem to come up with anything. The Landing has some places open for lunch--which is when they will be here. Old Spaghetti Factory is even open for lunch now but this is a chain and not really "authentic" Italian. Most of the places on The Hill are only open till 2pm for lunch or not open until 5pm for dinner. Zia's and Rigazzi's(yuk--gasp) are open throughout, however. Zia's is not too bad but Rigazzi's has changed so much over the years and I don't think it is worth it anymore.
What do you think about a place in Union Station?? Fun atmosphere but not the greatest food--Hooters, Landry's, Hard Rock--chains, basically---plus you have to be really careful there still, I think. The Boathouse in Forest Park is fun, but it gets so crowded and because of this I don't think it gets great reviews. Any thoughts??

2XCITED2SLP::The Old Spag.Factory!!! Wow, it's been so long since I've been there!! I'm talking like in the 80's with ex....husband. We used to go to ballgames, etc and hit the Landing before for after the game;depended on the time. I'll meet you for dindin, sounds like an adventure!!!

Aww, don't be chicken------I am really very tame. Really. Can't get a peep out of me. Like pulling teeth. Really. REALLY.
You all bring out the best (or worst :confused3 ) in me. :teeth: :teeth:

I know this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drinking1

Tatto talk, huh??

I have the Target logo on my ...left ankle.....yeah, my right..I mean left ankle.

Do you believe me?? :teeth:

No, no tatoos here. I wanted to get one years ago on my toe but everyone kept telling me that they wear down too quickly. I would love to get something really tiny on the small of my back, but I'm not sure I can do this anymore due to some health issues. I'm too embarrassed to ask the doctor--she's a bit straight-laced. Not like us. :smokin: :smokin:

Ash--I just got one of the Canon Elph 750?? I think it is. It's pretty little and has the anti-shake thingie. So far I like it but haven't really had a good chance to play with it. I can't figure out the night thing though. It will just take some time on my part. I wanted to have it for my upcoming WDW trip. I graduated from the Kodak shoot and toss.

Nicole--watch those suck-you-in ads, and yes, read the fine print. Glad it worked out for you in the end.

Lyzziesmom--where did you go today?? Sorry, just don't feel like reading backwards.

Don't worry, I passed that green complected, eyes bugged, swallowing hard feeling years ago. Are you kidding, I hold on white knuckled on the Peter Pan ride. Whoooooaaaa!!!!!!!!

yeah, right.

OMG----you just made me cry with the Baby Mine song.

This reminds me of a story----I'll share next post.

Okay, Baby Mine story---

my sister was telling me that my niece (7) came home from school the other day and said to my sister,

"Mom, you know how me and Macy were best friends??"

"yes"

"Well, Macy has a new best friend, Shelby. And you know the bracelet that Macy gave me that says best friends and I was the monkey on it and Macy was the frog on it??"

"yes"

"Well, now Macy is still the frog but now me AND Shelby are the monkeys."

My sister said that my niece said the above in a very stoic manner and when she finished she kind of just turned away. My sister then softly called her name and my niece turned back around and she was crying. :guilty: :guilty:

My heart broke when she told me this. My little baby!!!!! I can't believe this is starting already. You just want to protect them their entire lives so they won't get hurt. And these aren't even my children--but I still feel like they are.

My sister said she sat there and held and rocked her for a while. Then, my nephew (5) finally says, "umm, when is this going to be over?? she just wants attention." :rotfl2:

Oh, brotherly and sisterly love. He's going to make a great sympathetic brother when they get older.

HI gang!!!
I was just over reading the most bazaar thread of the week!!!IMO Wow, I sure am glad none of you are fruitcakes!!! :goodvibes

2x2s= Dumb question. Does the hotel that used to be Stoaffers (Regal Riverfront last I knew) still have the revolving restaurant on the top? Never ate there, but used to be popular. I don't hear anything about it anymore, I assumed it no longer existed.

Im brand new to all of this and really dont know what Im doing, But I want to get my clique on!!!!!! :teeth:
