Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

I just noticed we are down to 10 DAYS:cool1: :cool1:

Tomorrow we will be in single digits!!!

:cool1: party: :jumping1:

Don't forget to pack everything! Also don't forget to swing through Ohio, and pick me up on you're way.:rolleyes1

And Texas!:rotfl:

2X- I hope you're doing okay!

Amber- Thanks for the link for Song of the South. I can't remember if I have ever seen it, and have seen this site to buy it before. But I wasn't sure if it was legit or not.

I want to see Heroes, I'll have to rent it on DVD when it comes out.

Yolanda... that view is absolutely beautiful!!! We're going to have to go there!!! Did Keagan like it there? I think it is gorgeous, but I want to make sure there will be enough for Kenny to enjoy too. I'm sure we'll do a helicopter tour... Or maybe an adult only trip:scratchin

2x... pixiedust: We miss you! Hope everything is ok.

.

Sorry, guys!!!! I hit the 9 min. snooze an extra time this morning!!!

Donna, I did the same thing! I was just going to lie there for an extra minute or two... pretty soon it was an extra 15 minutes. :scared1:

As for cheesecake, they now have a tub of filling in the dairy isle. All you do is buy a premade crust and dump the filling in. No need to bake. Mike does that and then buys fruit to put on top.

We didn't do much last night. I just bought Song of the South, so we watched that (neither of us had ever seen it). I really don't get what is so bad about it. :confused3

I remember seeing a commercial for that cheesecake filling! My mom said, "Who needs crust? Just buy that & a spoon." :rotfl:

I haven't seen Song of the South since I was a kid. I remember loving it. I don't see why it's "bad" now either, but I can see how some people would think it's stereotyping too much. But, that's just a part of history, it's no worse than a lot of other old movies that are still around. I will be checking out that website!

Linda: you're leaving in a week, but your ticker says 9 days. I forget, are you driving?

Yolanda: that photo is gorgeous!! I think we are due for more snow tomorrow. It's so hard to tell around here, they change the forecast every few hours, and it can be totally different depending on what channel you watch.

It's going to be a weird day at work today. My immediate supervisor here is out with a sick baby today, but she left some lunch orders for visiting execs in her locked office. So she will be coming in for a few minutes but things are crazy around here!!

I thought about changing my ticker... I decided that we should start driving down Tues. evening. It will take us about 16 hrs! :sad2: We'll get in Orlando Wednesday around noon or so... I figured we should grab a room off property, get some rest, then head to dtd for some shopping. I was thinking of doing an adr at a resort or something. I've always wanted to take Kenny to AKL to see the animals :) My ticker starts w/the day we check into POFQ;) I wanted to be there at opening ;) we'll have to run to POFQ for our tickets before we head to MK so it will be an early day... head back for a nap then back for some fun:woohoo: that is the night for our p&p party so it will be a really long day!! I can't take it. I'm w/Emma and Kenny ...lets go now!!!

I hardly ever hit the snooze button...today I did 3x's:rolleyes1 I was so tired!

have fun w/the supervisor in and out today ;) My boss is off today so we're loving it. His wife was checking the mail, stepped wrong on her foot and broke it in 3 places!!!

Linda-- Keagn loved it! He's basically a fish so we had a blast with all 3 of us snorkeling right off the beach. The good thing about this beach is that it stays fairly shallow (3-4 feet) for a good 30 yards out, so it's a great beach for kids and it's protected from the big waves by a small reef off shore. My nephews loved digging in the sand since they are not swimmers. The North Shore is about 45 minutes from Waikiki so there's lots to do: Dole Plantation, zoo, aquarium, children's museum, Pearl Harbor, Poly cultural center, etc.. One warning about the North Shore though-- during the winter months (October - March) they have record waves-- thsi is where the big surfing competitions take place at the pipeline. Really fun to watch but no swimming. We rent our snorkel gear from Snorkel Bob's for the whole length of time and take it with us and go around and just explore and snorkel. I think next time we are going to go to Kuai or the Big Island.

Here's a photo of my husband and Keagan snorkeling behind the house:

Ok-- off the Hawaii kick. Can you tell I'm longing for some place warm with beach :goodvibes

Morning all!!

Care to do the single Digit Dance with me? :dance3: :cheer2:  :dance3: :dance3:

Woo-hoo I was so excited to see that lone, single nine when I logged in this morning.

I haven't had a chance to catch up. We were on the run yesterday :rotfl: and now today I'm going to do a really good housecleaning if I could ever get DH out the door. Did you ever try to clean w/ another adult present in the house? I don't mean another adult helping you clean because that's different. I mean, just being here playing on the computer or watching t.v. You know just loafing while you're trying to clean. Well I don't know about you but I can't do it. I just can't. I don't know why. So, that's what I have planned for today. It shouldn't take me too long cause it is a teeny-tiny house afterall but then hopefully I'll be back.

I hope I haven't missed too much. I know my post count is probably falling farther and farther behind everyday. :rotfl: Just kidding with you all.

By the way, I'm seriously looking into this RT career and now even DH is starting to come on board. I'm going to be PMing Amber with some questions about what she did as a polysomnographic tech and what she might know about RT's in that field.

Well, talk to you all in a little bit. I just saved a big mess from happening. Ms. Lucky the Wonder Cat Lucky for short was up on my counter (which I HATE anyway but you can't train a cat!!!!) and there was a cup of water and I caught her out of the corner of my eye w/ her paw on the cup ready to knock it over. For some reason she likes doing this. Just the other day she knocked over a cup of water that I had left on the end table onto my couch!! Thankfully, I saved myself another mess today.

OK, talk to you all soon.

That sounds like paradise!! Sounds like a great location! Kenny isn't the best swimmer yet. He loves the water and loves to fish and do anything outside. I'm going to take him snorkeling for the first time at CC, since its nice and shallow in parts. I know who to ask now when we decide to go, if you don't mind ;)

Hey there April :) good luck cleaning house and doing that RT research. I was driving home the other day and I was thinking ... I should ask April if she's thought about being a PA (physician assistant);)

better do some work:rolleyes1

April: my cat used to dip her paw in any glass that she could find, and then act all surprised that it was wet so she would shake it off! I think the intention was to just dip her toes and lick it off, which was fine (as long as nobody was still drinking it!:scared: ) but often, she dipped her whole foot in there and then shook it like mad. It was hilarious to see how disgusted she was - and then she'd do it again - but not so funny when my DBF at the time was on a koolaid kick. Do you know how hard it is to clean little drops of koolaid that were flung all over the living room??

The same cat likes to push things over the edges of tables with her paw. She will just lightly tap something - anything - that is near the edge of a table, then look 'round as if to see if she got away with it. Then she'll tap it again, and look 'round again. Then she is surprised when it actually falls off the edge! Cats are so fun, but can be quite the PITA (which is why mine still live with my folks).

Yolanda and Linda: Lyzzie wants to go to Hawaii, but I'm afraid I just don't have it in my budget. It's nice to see that there are more things to do than just hang around the beach though! After 15 years in FL I'm not so keen on the beach anymore for more than a few minutes. Add to that my Norwegian-Irish skin which burns to a crisp in 15 minutes, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Yolanda- Hawaii sounds like fun! I have been wanting to go for a while, but like Lyzziesmom said, it seems kind of expensive. Maybe one day!:beach:

Gonna try to catch up a little......

Going back a few pages……lyzziesmom……absolutely wonderful pictures of Lyzzie and Emma in the snow!! Looks like they were having a great time. And it is very pretty snow!!

DznyFan…….sorry you are having some ice damming issues. I have been seeing and hearing a LOT about it lately. There was a story on one of the news channels in the past day or two where it was leaking so bad in this one lady’s house that she was hauling out GALLONS of water.

What is everyone getting their SO/kids/family for Valentines Day?
DW informed me this morning that she would like some perfume for Valentine’s Day. I think I can handle that. We usually buy the kids something for Valentine's Day as well. Not sure yet, but something.

Speaking of Target………

Hey DznyFan……did you see the news report on Channel 2 last night? They said plans are in the works to build a Super Target in Broken Arrow next to the Lowe’s. There are also plans to build a movie theater there as well. But then, I read about the movie theater a couple of years ago.

I also read in last Sunday’s paper that the Lone Star Steakhouse is scheduled to finally open in a couple of weeks. I won’t hold my breath though.

Lyzziesmom, can you PM me the recipe for your cheesecake? I have a springform pan but no recipe for a cheesecake!
Ooohh……Lin……I make the BEST cheesecake EVER!! All from scratch!!

Well…...at least a few people think it's the best. I have been contracted out by my former boss to make her one for her church’s Valentine’s Day bake sale.

We didn't do much last night. I just bought Song of the South, so we watched that (neither of us had ever seen it). I really don't get what is so bad about it. :confused3
How did you buy it? I didn’t think it was “officially” released?

Edit....I saw the website you mentioned......I'll have to check it out.

pozey: I see you are racking up your post count this morning.

YM, I work at a bank now. I do government reporting and pay some of our accounts. No one around here really understands what I do; I've given up trying to explain to them. :)
Mike's company is a minute from our house, but he is a salesperson so he is on the road each day. Every morning he drives me to work. We usually see each other for lunch. I love it!

I can't believe your trip is so soon. I would love to be in FL right now. It snowed yesterday. I had no idea it was even supposed to. When I opened the door to let the dogs out, there was a inch!

Amber...that sounds great...your gas epxenses are probably low! Has the snow melted yet?

2x: Where are you Cupcake? I know how you disappear when things are less than ideal - hope everything's ok. Just think... we will be on that Poly beach in no time!

Hi little ones!!!

Just a quick hello and then I am off to sleep. I've had an icky -feeling day again----really getting tired of these, but at least I didn't have to work today. I logged on earlier today and made it over to our countdown thread and danced a bit then "suddenly" had to go-----I'll spare you the details.:scared:

hey lyzziesmom...I remembered this post from 2xcited on Saturday...Feel better Pin-cess:goodvibes :goodvibes

Sorry, guys!!!! I hit the 9 min. snooze an extra time this morning!!!
How about a poolside breakfast this morning?? Care to join me??

pt-dej.jpg

I hope everyone has a Tropical Tuesday!!!
16_4_44.gif

Donna...yum! Love the tropical feel! It just seems so chilly here. I can't wait until all the ice melts off the roofs and yards and the sand washes away and etc....:rolleyes1

Yolanda...I'm enjoying your beach pics. I went snorkling for the first time in Mexico a couple of years ago. It was amazing. I just had some underwater photos out for my DS to look at. He was reading a story about parrot fish and I just happened to have a picture (not all the clear...but cool).

My first grader has decided that to be smart he need to read all non-fiction books "becuase they are about real stuff MOM"! Ok...as long as you are reading! He's been checking out "under the sea" books...kind of cool!

Yolanda- Hawaii sounds like fun! I have been wanting to go for a while, but like Lyzziesmom said, it seems kind of expensive. Maybe one day!:beach:
We also have talked about going to Hawaii for vaction in the future. Maybe 'bout the time Colton is 15 or 16?
