Who here has signed up for WPASADI?

I am still toying with signing up for this competition. Reading the rules, it looks like ppl from the same "board" will be grouped together on the same team. How cool would that be to have a team made up of VMK players/friends...(except for when it comes time to vote somebody off the team, LOL! )

So I'm wondering who here has already signed up? And if so, have you been approved yet?

I haven't signed up because I can't figure out what it is or exactly what we might have to do. Not sure that makes me a prime candidate for anybody's team! lol

I have signed up, but I dont think they will let us know who is accepted until all the applications are in.

I signed up, but I hold no delusions of being accepted or if I am accepted of staying on the team. I don't have any really great friends here yet and nobody has any loyalty to me whereas close friends won't vote each other off.

I watched Survivor the first year it was on, and have boycotted "reality shows" since. I don't believe in them, and I think they foster meanness and selfishness. Needless to say, I will not be joining.

As Bowling For Soup said, "When did reality become TV?"

I have signed up, I have played before, and I have hosted the game before.

It's designed around creativity: create a comic book featuring DIS board personalities as super heros, throw a virtual party with a budget and a theme, plan a leg of the Amazing Race from your home state, design Disney's 5th theme park at WDW. . .

Early submissions ask the team to work together to create and execute the concept.

Later submissions ask the individual to do these kinds of challenges on their own.

Judges under the guise of well know personalities look at teach team's or person's submissions, give critiques, and choose one for immunity. The rest go to the vote to continue.

It was great fun and I hope I get a chance to do it again with some VMK folks.

I don't have a lot of close buddies here, but I think this will be a way for us to get to know each other better. I know my votes always went to the person on the team who helped the least or told the team they needed to bow out. The boards were asked to vote on anonymous submissions as well, so it didn't turn into a popularity contest as much as it might.

Unfortunately, I can't play, but I will be here CHEERING everyone on!!

I truly think many of you would be awesome in this contest. The amount of creativity you put into designing rooms, games, quests, etc... already shows how ready you are for this challenge! I think your virtual lives have been great training.

It's great to have the "Ultimate WPASADI Co-Winner" DemonLlama here to give you some idea of what to expect for the Extreme version of WPASADI. (psst... did you take a look at some of the prizes? )

I was toying with the idea ever since I did Disneydollarless Survivor a few
years ago. (My team won, btw. LOL) I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas
with my team. My favorite challenge was when we came up with a new
spiel for the Animal Kingdom's Kilamanjaro Safari so it would be similar to
the Jungle Cruise. (The links to our challenges are still around, so if
anyone wants to read the script or what we submitted, please let me know.)

So yes, I am toying with the idea of entering.

I did not sign up but I really did want to(Hubby will soon be home from deployment). It seems like a fun and exciting challenge to be involved in and a great way of getting to know the people on the boards. I'm always amazed at the creativity and writing skills I see on the boards; some of these people are just made for this! I wish the best of luck to all of you who enter, I will also be cheering from the sidelines.

Lol, I was reading the entries and it sounds like so much fun! I don't have the time to dedicate myself to something like this with the holidays coming up or I would sign up! Making up menus and planning events --- totally my thing!

I want to know who the judges are rofl --- that's got to be the best job And has anyone been an audience member? I was thinking of signing up for that, but wanted to know what you were supposed to do.

Audience members let teams use their names and personalities for different challenges.

For instance, we contacted and incorporated well known DIS CB folks in the superhero challenge from WPASADI 2 where the hosts submitted an entry against the remaining teams. The deal was, if we won, they both went to tribal council and if either of their teams won, everyone was safe for the week.

We won.

Boy, I had a tough time with 2 of those questions - my hidden talents (ha ha) and a cartoon character that represents me and why...

No, I'm not on the inside with this one, which is why I'm hoping to make the team. But my guess would be after the deadline for applications (maybe the week after Thanksgiving?) we'll hear something.
