Who has to be on the DDP?

Quick question... We have a reservation at BCV for September/October. There are 3 adults and 2 kids. My parents are coming with us, but staying off property. I wanted them on our reservation because they will be staying in our room to watch our kids for 1 or 2 nights. I thought it would be better if they had full access and also that way they could get MBs and fp+ with us. We were thinking about giving the DDP another try, but I don't think my parents want to do it.

Would they need to be on the DDP too?

If they're staying offsite, they can't be on a DDP. They can absolutely dine with you, just let your server know in advance so they can run separate checks.

Everybody on the reservation has to have to same package or plan. If they were to stay in their own room on property then they would not need the same plan but would still get the FP+, MB, EMH. They just wouldnt choose the DDP. Hope that helps.

If you add your parents onto your room reservation then, yes, they will need to have the DP too. Are you using DVC points for your room? If not, there is an extra per night charge also if you add your parents.

Thanks for the help. We are DVC members and my parents are staying off property, so we will just skip DP this trip.

There is no extra charge for adults in a villa whether it is a points or cash reservation.

Add them to the reservation after you arrive. Then you will have DDP and they will not. They won't have the same access to FP+ - no booking ahead of time for them.
