Who has the dirt on soap (and shampoo)?

I did a search and can't find any info about the toiletries that are in the rooms. Is it just regular flex and cashmere boquet stuff? nothing "universalish"? My dd6 and dd7 love the mickey soaps and we keep them by the sink for months after our trip to WDW. I can't find anything on this board about the soaps and stuff at Universal?

Not a big deal really, but i like to obsess about all parts of our trip and this part is a fun extra.

Nope..no themed stuff but you do get shampoo, conditioner, soaps, lotion and sometimes I have gotten a sewing kit. Good enough stuff to use if you want to leave all that at home.

Ive only stayed at the HRH but I can tell you that in the bathrooms there are small bottles of shampoo, rinse, body lotion and body wash that say Hard Rock Hotel U/O on the bottle with the logo on the back. They are white with black tops. They are very neat. Im looking at a couple right now that I brought home from last year. I don't remember about the soap bars though. I also remember a sewing kit called "threads" and a shoe shine pack.

They aren't themed cute like Disney, but I can tell you, they work a lot better than Disney's... Disney has the cheapest they can get...the shampoo is horrible, Universal's is a much better quality.

At Portofino and RPR, the soaps, shampoos, body washes and lotions are wonderful. They seem to be high quality something, they smell wonderful, very fresh. Don't make you itch, rinse off wonderfully.

Hello! I noticed that you said body washes. Do you mean bar soaps or liquid soap? We are staying at the PBH and we'll be there the morning of the 22nd. Thanks!

It's funny that you mentioned this, but i responded to a similar post a couple of days ago regarding this, and on yesterday i was cleaning out a drawer in the bathroom and found a few bars of soap, shampoo and lotion from the Portofino, and yes they are still fresh and the i compared them to soaps and shampoos from other hotels that we have stayed at, outside of the Ritz, and Canyon Ranch it's Portofino hands down. I usually take the soaps and shampoos and donate them to the Homeless Shelters every year during there drive, all but those. -)

Your local Ronald Mc Donald house is another place to donate them. I had to stay at one at the All Childrens Hospital in Tampa/St Pete over the summer & when I went home, I cleaned out under my sink & took my hotel soaps and shampoos to the one in my county. I had never thought of donating it there until I was there... just a thought for anyone how wants to "clean" out their hotel soaps by the way, they will also take donations of old books, clean toys and even food for the families to cook....
