In your opinion, who's is the best?

I've had the one at Kona and the one at Le Cellier and the one at Le Cellier was definately better.

We've been to all of these with the exception of Shula's. For us, Yachtsman Steak House is the first choice. Always good service and great steak. And the pull-apart onion rolls slathered with garlic and butter are to die for.

Shula's is handsdown the best place to get a quality piece of meat where you can just enjoy and savor the meat. If you like other flavorings, sauces, etc- Jiko is excellent and I have to say the one at California Grill is pretty darn tasty too.

Kona's was well flavored. CG was better quality filet.
but...since July 08 Kona no longer serves a filet. They replaced it with a different cut of beef completely.

Honestly, you're not going to get near the cut at a regular 1 credit restaurant (LeCellier, Kona, etc) as you will a signature spot. I had the best cut at Jiko but have not tried Shula, which I think would be the obvious best filet out of the group.

If you want a fantastic cut of meat, go with a signature spot. Yachtsman also has an excellent filet.

In your opinion, who's is the best?

The best steak on property is Shula's hands down. If someone has never eaten there they will not know this. Prior to having eaten at Shula's I would have said Jiko with the Yatchsman second and LeCellier coming in third. If you do not care about the money go to Shula's and enjoy.

I have had LeCelliar and YSH and although these were really good Narcoossee's was by far the best, had my Christmas Dinner and that was the best meal and dining:) experience

JIKO :thumbsup2 (and the fact that it is Australian beef has nothing to do with it ;) )

Oh and the Mac and cheese that comes with it, ohhhhhhh it is soooooooo good

Even though this isn't on property, I would highly recommend Emeril's at US/IoA. If you have a car at your disposal, the trip is worth it. My family has been there twice, and it was fantastic both times. My brother was never a red meat fan, but decided to have the filet there, and absolutely loved it. On Disney property, however, Jiko is the best, in my opinion. Happy Dining! :goodvibes

I've had the filet at every place but Big River Grille and Shula's wins hands down.

I haven't eaten at all the places listed, but of the ones I have eaten at, California Grill was the best.

I agree - my 1st choice also for a Filet. Love the rolls even the sourdough.

Jiko was tough and tasteless in April, Le Cellier has deteriorated since the inception of the DDP (I guess Jiko as well :sad1: ), the best I've ever had is Shula's and I'm hoping to have it again in July--it won't be marred by the DDP so I hope it is what I have come to expect!

We have had now, 4 time going, really great Filets at Le Cellier and once at Kona but we have not gone to the oter place to compare.

I think it's a tie between Jiko and California Grill.
John
