My family and I are staying at the Niiki Bird in just over 4 weeks time, I have heard and read mixed reviews and would like to hear from people who have stayed there recently. Please give me your honest reviews.

Thanks,

Paul.

Hello...Indeed, this hotel gets mixed reviews. Location is great for Disney. It is, however and older HI that shows some wear and tear. It is a frequent flyer on Priceline for about 28 to 35 dollars/ night. We stayed there for a couple of nights with no problems other than it was very basic, but we also got it for $30 a night and could not complain for the price. If you are paying more than $45/ night you can do a lot better, in my opinion. If you are locked in for some reason, then I guarantee you will survive and will be using the room just to sleep and the rest of the time you will be practically right next door to MICKEY!!

FYI, the all you can eat buffet with Lobster and Crab is OK, not great....Be sure to get all the discount coupons for 2 to 3 dollars off if you can.

Enjoy...it will be just fine either way..

We stayed there for 2 weeks in April. All we wanted was somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep and it was fine. It is basic but, as I said, it was clean, comfy and very quiet. The pools were nice and clean too. The breakfast buffet was very good, but I was not so keen on the evening buffet. There were very long queues, no priority was given to residents and food was only ok. I think you would be better to eat elsewhere at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful and you can't ask for a better location for WDW. Somedays we were on-site in less than 5 minutes!!! Hope this has been of some help to you,

Elaine

Thanks Elaine and Ted,
Well the both of you haven't scared the life out of me anyway!!:D This is what I was expecting when we booked it so I am not dissapointed. Thank you both for your honest replies and I will let you all know how it was when we get back. Counting the days now!! Thanks again.:hyper:
