Who Has Started Packing For May???

I told my DH I was going to start packing some items. He laughed at me. He said you want to pack 2-3 weeks before we go for a 1 week vacation. I have been planning for months. There will be 14 of us and our family of 3 are the only ones that have gone to WDW before. I want to make sure we have everything necessary. We have some little ones and want to make sure we have plastic dishes and cups, etc. We have little park gifts for the kids (glow braclets, pens, autographs books, etc) If I would leave behind something I had planned on taking and giving to a family member I would be VERY upset. I use a check off list and double check everything the week before we go. I think I will start packing this afternoon and NOT listen to DH!

Wow... I'm a traveller but never in my life started packing sooner than a week before my trips unless they were to Europe.

I suppose I should start getting some bags put together. This weekend I did by my future husband several shirts, t-shirts and shorts for the trip but I'm planning on wrapping those for him to open.

I have a bag for the drive that has activities, movies, etc. for the kids packed & ready. Our clothes are color coordinated and hanging in my closet, I just haven't put them in the hanging garment bag. The toiletries and first aid kit have been ready since we decided to book our vacation . Just a few more things to check off my list.

I have 12 days to go and I started packing this weekend. I took out my suitcase and threw all the clothes I want to take in it. I made a list of some last minute things I will get at wal-mart.

My boyfriend, on the other hand, will probably wait til the night before to start packing.

I haven't actually started putting things in suitcases yet, but I'm starting to gather the pile of things to take in one area. I'll probably start packing next week!!

Since our weather decided to go from 80's down to 30's I was able to pack all our clothes for the trip over the weekend. We sure won't be needing it around here this week! Also I've started working on our "park bag" and our "kids bag". Basically our park bag is ponchos, sunscreen, hats, autograph books, pens, change for pressed penny machines, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, kleenex, etc. Anything we might need in the park. Then our kids bag is full of their Disney toys and light-up toys from previous trips. This REALLY saves us money because they can take different toys to the park each day... different types of hats, stuffed animals, diecast ride toys, etc, that we have bought over the years. Then we don't have to buy more. (but we always do anyway, but probably less than if we left everything at home)

I will save our toiletry bag for Thursday night. And dh will do our travel bag Thursday night as well. Although I've already printed out our itinerary, flight info, rental car info, park hours, dining plan restaurants and PS's, etc, so it's ready for the bag.

3 1/2 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a couple things started but I am sure, as always, I will be packing the majority of it (frantically) the night before and that morning. Oh well, so long as I remember my DH, DS, plane tickets and AP's, I guess I am good to go!

I've started putting things that I plan to pack into boxes in my den. Once I've purchased or gathered everything off of my lists and filled up the boxes, I'll start packing. We don't leave until the end of May, so I have at least another 3.5 weeks.

DW and I were actually thinking about pulling our duffle bag out of the closet that houses all of our Florida Clothes for our trips. We actually belong to DVC so most trips we have the laundry clean when we are coming home since we have a washer and dryer in the room.

We purchased one of the large Disney Duffles a few years back and it makes a nice place to store the Shorts and other odds and ends for the winter that you don't wear other than for the trips we take to Florida.

We do already have a check list produced with the other things that go into the bags like cameras, PAL Mickey, bathing suits, etc.

BTW, we have already done this but our trip is not until June 10th.

I started to pack last Saturday and we leave on the 6th. DF wanted to kill me. He said it was to early I told him if it were up to me I would have been packed 3 months ago!

Funny, I'm at almost the exact same stage and also leave May 13th. Luggage is aired out, snacks purchased, all toiletries bought and in their own drawer in the bathroom, clothes matched and hanging together in the closet. I also have copies made of my AP, DDE card, hotel ressies, airline confirmations, itinerary, PS#, etc all filed and ready to go in a small divided accordian type file. I also replaced Pal Mickey's batteries this weekend. I have an appointment to get my hair cut and nails done the day before I leave.

I don't leave until Oct. 12th, and I'm already packed, so for the next 6 months I have to wear the same clothes. I'm just too exicted.
