How was it?? Is it like a futon or pull out couch type of bed? Would my dd who is 5'5" about 115 pounds sleep okay on that for 3 nights???? Thanks a bunch for any feedback.

It was more like a pull out. My son slept on it in April and he's bigger than your daughter. He had no complaints. I think it was much improved over the older pullout couches at the other DVC resorts.

Oh okay. Yeah we are used to 2br. and we thought we would stay 3 nights in a 1br. SV vs. 2 nights in a 2br. SV. We added on 100 points there and want to use those points in July. We plan on moving over to BCV for a week after that so we need to save our other points for that. Thanks.

Good question & nice to read it was fine. My DD17 can't wait to sleep in the sleeper chair when we go in November. :goodvibes

When we stayed at AKV in a 2 bedroom this past June (our first "home" visit) I pulled out the chair bed (since it was only dh, dd 16, ds 15 and I we didn't use it), to check it out. LOL It wasn't bad, for a child/teen, it is fine. I would sleep on it if I HAD too...:rotfl:

Someone posted a picture of it and it had a small child in it...so it was hard to tell if someone my dd age could use it. I feel better now.

We just stayed in a one bedroom this month. Two teen dd's. One had the pullout sofa and the other the chair. They did not like them as much as they thought. We only stayed 2 nights but my dd said if she had to sleep in it all week, she would not be comfortable. I was a little bummed at that. I did lay on both and felt the sofa was a bit more comfortable than the chair. My dd is 5 ft 2 in and about 130 pounds. We are considering an add-on at this resort and the girls begged us to get enough so we can stay in a 2 bedroom. We have spoiled them so with DVC :upsidedow ;)

Oh I am sure my "princess" will complain then too. :rotfl: I am guessing we will stilll try it for 3 nights. IF she hates it then next time we know to get our usual 2 bedroom. I could book a 2br. this trip but we want SV and since we only have 100 AK points.....we would have to borrow from next year or only stay 2 nights.

Our 5'11" 17 year old slept in the chair for a week in July and said that he it was not a good as the queen pullout but he liked it better than the day beds at Poly or Beach Club. Of course he said to get to go to WDW he would sleep on the floor.

Yeah really......so there is hope for my dd to handle the sleep chair for 3 nights. ;)

I a 57 yo Pooh sized person slept on the sleeper chair in January for 2 nights and pronounced it comfortable. But then I know I'm not a Princess.

Like I said....my kids are spoiled from years of sleeping in villas and having their own bed ! We own an offsite timeshare and they each get their own full-size bed. Then, of course, there's DVC and we usually stay in a 2 bedroom at OKW (again, they each get their own bed). I'm glad dgaston found the chair ok.....I don't think I'd be as comfy in it for more than say 2 nights. I am used to a softer, pillow-top mattress at home, and the chair is very firm to me. But then again, maybe I'm a princess too ? ;) princess: I never thought I was, but who knows ? :rotfl:

I'm the one that posted the pic. My dd then 6.5 (of average size, about 4ft) was sleeping on the chair. I really didn't check it out for comfort. It worked great for her and was plenty large enough. DD 12 (5'1") slept on the Sleeper Sofa and being the princess she is, did feel the pea. I laid on it and also thought it was a bit... firm? For some reason she wanted the back couch cushions on the bed making it much shorter. One doesn't try to reason with a princess.

Don't worry Maria. My older one had the exact same reaction to our AKV add-on. I pointed out we can stay in the one bedrooms. And She insisted we needed to do the two bedrooms.

Good to know Lisa.
Our kids have the same DVC/deluxe mentality ! ;)
I will say, my teen dd's are 15 and just 18. I think girls are more picky than boys too---especially at their ages. I know my son, who is now 20, would probably be fine on the chair. But then again, he could sleep on a floor and be ok. My teen girls def have a bit of DVC Diva in them (maybe they get it for me ?). ;)

I don't know about boys...I've got DS19, DS20, DS6. DS19 and DS6 not picky at all. DS20 definitely as much a "princess" as some of your DDs. Won't share the bed, must be queen size. "I'm too tall for a twin" - he's 5'10" (is that too tall for a twin?). He has started asking how much to get another bed, that's usually another room--that usually makes him blink twice. :rolleyes1
