My Dd has been invited to a birthday party, and they are going to see this movie. I am a little nervous because it is rated PG, and I won't be with her. Do you think this movie is appropriate for a 7 year old girl (actually a large group of 6 and 7 year olds)? Maybe I'm being silly, but I wouldn't mind if I were with her so that we could talk about anything that might be objectionable, after the movie. There will of course be a couple of adult chaperones. I don't know, am I being way too overprotective?

I haven't seen the movie but adore the series. I can't imagine it would be much different. Personally, I can't wait to see it.

I saw the preview for it Saturday night when DD and I saw 'What a Girl Wants'. I don't think that there would be too much problem with it from what I saw. It's about Lizzie being mistaken for a rock stars ex-partner and her stepping in and performing. It seems to be mostly about her problems getting ready to perform. They didn't show any romantic scenes or anything that I would consider objectionable.

Have you watched the show on Disney channel? That would probably give you an idea of what it might be like. I think it would be okay.

I think its great that you are concerned though. You are obviously a very caring mom! Your daughter is lucky to have you!

I would think it would be fine. The last couple of Disney movies have been PG I think. It's when it's PG13 you have to worry!:D
