Who has seen the Haunted Lighthouse 4-D show at Busch Gardens?

Yes, Barry, I've been there (along with about 2 million other folks on Memorial weekend Saturday!).

It is an extremely well-produced piece of cinema, with a strong storyline (which may just be a bit too intense for very young children) and several laugh-out-loud 3-D tricks. Actually, the emphasis seems to be more on story than 3-D trickery, but it is still a very amusing attraction (watch out for the beer!!!). It is not quite up there with HISTA or ITTBAB (and the new Shrek 4-D is a different story altogether), but it is very well made, stars Christopher Lloyd and the theatre takes quite a crowd (about 600 a time, I think), so it shouldn't involve a long wait.

I think we're going to be seeing this same attraction at Sea World in San Antonio in a couple of weeks.

It's listed as being "family friendly". The family traveling with us has a 7 year old. Without giving away the fun, is there anything that I need to warn them about?

Thanks!

we saw that show during march vacation--my four kids all liked it--it had a real story line and the effects were pretty good--not at all scary (my 3yr old didnt wear the glasses so he had no problems) overall it was good-not fabulous.:Pinkbounc

We saw this show in Virginia in April. My 5 yo dd did not find it scary. It was a nice thing to do when you're tired to rest and cool off. It was ok, not fabulous.

We saw it this past week and all (2 adults, 1 teen, 9 yo son and 6 yo daughter) all loved it. The kids didn't find it scary at all.

We saw this show in Bush Gardens in Virginia. It was well done and a cute show. I felt it was similiar to Honey I Shrunk the Audiance with the special effects and the 4-D glasses. I really didn't see anything that was too scary for children. I thought it was more "campy" then scary and my DH and I enjoyed it.
