Who has gone with a baby?

-The men's bathroom have changing stations (woooohooo!), so, daddy can help change diapers!!
Noooooooo!!!! ;)

Based off of all of your wonderful advice (which I thank you for), this sounds workable. The only part that makes me nervous will be the trip down. We won't be flying if we go. We're gonna have to drive from Boston. And when we depart, we'll be headed to our new life in San Antonio.

We'll see what happens...

I took my oldest daughter when she was 6 months old and my youngest daughter's first trip was when she was just over a year. I'd say that babies are easier than toddlers. They enjoy alot more of the sites and aren't as prone to being scared by rides with low lighting or "scary things" like pirates. Both girls were a bit sensative to loud noises, but i'd just cover their ears if needed.

My advice would be to try to take a break in the middle of the day, whether it's going back to the hotel or just finding a quiet out of the way bench. It will be good to get the baby out of the high stimulation area. Also there are many areas that do not allow you to bring in stroller, so I'd also recommend bringing a snuggly, hip hammock, or sling, to help support the baby in line, pavillions, shows that don't allow strollers.

Each park also has a really nice baby area, where you can change diapers, feed babies etc.

Enjoy your trip!

Our DD was 6 mo when we took her last month. She did great on the trip!

We took our double stroller and a baby backpack. Packed lots of sunscreen and lightweight clothing. She got a little fussy after spending 2 days in the stroller (1st day rained, 2nd was hot) but we also opted to get started later in the day and stay in the parks into the evenings so it was cooler and we didn't have to worry as much about the sun.

She slept when she wanted and seemed to enjoy the rides we took her on (HM, Monster's Inc. LF (she was even part of the show!), Nemo, Pirates, Gran Fiesta, Jungle Cruise, trains, etc. She wasn't thrilled about about Wishes, but it was loud! :goodvibes:

She had her 6 mo shots 3 days before the trip AND cut her first 2 teeth while we were there! :scared1:

Our main thing was that we used a car vs. Disney transport. I think it made things tons easier. We could come and go as we pleased and didn't have to be at the mercy of a bus (waiting in the heat). We opted to walk from our car into AK, EP, and DHS b/c we didn't want to break down the stroller for the trolley, but that was completely a personal decision (plus, we kind of enjoyed the walk)

Biggest thing is that you won't have to pay for baby!

Best of luck.

We took out triplets when they were 6 months old and our singleton when he was about the same. The hardest part for us was washing all the bottles. so when we went with our singleton at that age we made sure he was on the bottles with the disposable liners so we had less to wash. Also, we never warmed bottles from the very beginning, we always did room temperature so we never had a problem making thier formula.

We also had a little bit of problem getting them too sleep so we have found the best way is to have 2 rooms, which usually isn't a problem because we have someone traveling with us. We would get adjoining rooms and sit in the other room while the kids were falling asleep.

Good luck on your move and have a great trip!

We took our DD at 4 months. It was great. Really, it was very easy and relaxed and we had a great time (see her with Tigger in my avitar). We have pics of her being held by Pooh and Mickey and Minnie. It really was painless and fun.

Good luck have a great time!

We did the cruise/land package for my ds 1st bday back in '99, and I have the most beautiful pictures! Biggest tips: go slow, my son's favorite-playing in the water at ariels grotto, and make sure you see mickey! we went during a rain storm and the fab 4 actually played with my son on the floor for 15 min! No one was around and the videos are priceless.
Have fun!:goodvibes

We just took our 4 month old last month and had an amazing trip! We used his car seat & the snugride frame for his stroller. He took naps in the stroller and was so easy to travel around the parks. We have tons of pictures of him sleeping with characters next to him! And the characters love babies! The photopass photographers did an excellent job of capuring the interactions! I didn't care about trying to ride a lot, so my time I spent doing what baby needed and just enjoying the atmosphere. It was also my first time NIP, which was pleasant as well. We did have a battery operated fan I would pull out when it was hot or when I was nursing. It was the best extra we packed. You can find a ton of great advice on these boards. I made a Word document of things I didn't want to forget and saved websites into my iPhone (such as what rides he could ride) to help. Have a great trip!
